Secret CCTV cameras fitted INSIDE people's homes to spy on neighbours outside
By Daily Monitor Reporter
Last updated at 9:22 AM on 19th November 2009CCTV cameras are being fitted inside family homes by council 'snoopers' to spy on neighbours in the street outside, it was revealed today.
The £1,000 security cameras have been placed inside properties but are trained on the streets to gather evidence of anti-social behaviour.
Each device is linked to a laptop computer and accessible online by police and council officials 24 hours a day.
But the trial inside two homes by Croydon council in south London has sparked new fears about invasion of privacy and Britain's ‘surveillance society’.
The high street in Addington, Croydon. The London borough has become the first to test out placing CCTV cameras inside homes
And critics said the extra surveillance was only needed because police had failed to tackle the problem.
A council spokesman said the cameras would allow the authorities to respond quickly to anti-social behaviour and gather evidence for criminal prosecutions.
He denied they would be used to spy on neighbours and said more cameras could be installed if the pilot proves a success.
But critics say the scheme has echoes of the East German Stasi secret police, which recruited members of the public as spies.
Charles Farrier, of No-CTV, said that the move was ‘a step further in our Big Brother society’.
He said: ‘There is no evidence they act as a deterrent and we should be concentrating on the root problem anyway and working to gel our communities.
Alex Deane, director of Big Brother Watch, warned the cameras would create a 'culture of fear and mistrust'.
The cameras are used to look for anti-social behaviour
He said: 'People accept these cameras into their homes because they are afraid.
'The council might be installing them with the best intentions, but the end result is a culture of fear and mistrust driven by a failure on the part of the borough and the police to have proper law enforcement in this area.
'Better to have real action from the failing authorities than to extend once more our surveillance society.'
A Croydon spokeswoman confirmed that the cameras cannot be seen from the street and refused to say in which areas they had been installed.
Residents taking part did not want their families or locations identified for fear of reprisals.
Images can be viewed on a computer and accessed remotely and the evidence used to take people to court.
The trials have been running for the past week.
But some local residents have backed the idea. Kirenna Chin, 30, said: ‘Louts use my hedge as a bouncy castle and urinate in my front garden. It's very intimidating.
‘It's a fantastic idea to fit hidden CCTV. If they offered me one I would definitely take it.’
Gavin Barwell, Croydon's cabinet member for community safety, said: ‘This is good news for residents.
‘These CCTV kits give us another weapon to fight anti-social behaviour quickly. We'll be working together with the police to put them to best use.’
Croydon has one of London's most advanced CCTV networks.
The control room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and there are 77 fixed cameras, a rapid-response mobile unit, and three wireless units.

similar creatures, you and me
- From: mel

Description:
Hello again everyone. Mel here,
It's Friday, something we can all be thankful for, unless of course you have to work tomorrow too. I'm not quite sure where to begin here other than to say that I am not here to debate religion, or God, or the existence of a God with anyone. There is plenty of that in the world already. Yes I am a relgious person and I dearly love the Lord, however I do realize that my beliefs will not set well, or be accepted by everyone. I'm okay with that. Why? you may ask, well to put it in the simplest terms, I don't know everything about everything. I never claimed to nor will I ever. I don't know for sure how we all ended up here on this big ball of mud called Earth. I know what I believe, but do I know for an absolute fact that I am 100% right? no, I don't. That being said, I can hardly tell someone else that they are wrong now can I.
You can tell me that there is no God, that I'm crazy, and that I'm just some kind of relgious nut for believing how I believe. but can you prove me wrong? I'm sure you could baffle me with scientifics, in fact that would be easy, because I get confused easily. but you can't change what I feel inside. Nor can I change you.
As to where I stand, I am not here to judge anyone and I won't. I could go on and on telling you about God and how he makes me feel, if you would listen I'd love to tell you. But if you'd rather not hear it, I am happy to shake the dust from my feet and move on. I see alot of Christians bending over backwards and at times getting quite angry and borderline hostile with others during arguments over religion. Is this Christian? to me, no it is not. Jesus never attempted to force anyone to believe in him, he gave them a choice. A choice that we all have. I have made my decision and hopefully you have too. Did I make the right choice? well, I don't know. It feels right to me and in the end that is all that matters. Did you make the right choice? Well, I don't have that answer either.
In the end, that is the absolute true meaning of faith, to believe that something exists, and not require hardcore facts or proof. How easy would it be to believe in God if you had absolute proof? too easy. There is no faith in that. And all religions are based on faith, If you get right down to it, not believing in God is also faith based. You have to believe in something and to do that requires faith.
See. In a way we're all the same. none of us has all the answers and we all believe in something. Who is right and who is wrong? well that is something we will never know as long as we are here, so why argue about it?
I have said this before but it is worth repeating. I will listen to you, if you will afford me the same courtesy.

HEADLINE: Does Your Christmas Shopping Habits Make You Prone To Be A “Victim of Identity Theft” This Christmas Season?
Are You Prepared to Fight “Identity Thieves” this Christmas Season? You better get ready!
Plano, Tx. – We are just ten days away from “Black Friday”, which everyone knows is the start of the Christmas shopping frenzy for 2009. While you are busy making your list and checking it twice, “Identity Thieves” are also preparing their shopping list for Christmas. The difference between you and the “Identity Thieves” is their shopping spree will be done with your check books, credit cards and debit cards. They will end up with the presents and you will end up with the bills, the financial losses and no gifts under the tree.
You will get stuck with the headaches of trying to recover your money back from the credit card companies or the banks. In many cases you will be treated like “The Thief” rather than “The Victim”. In the meantime, your Christmas season for 2009, has turned into a “Financial Nightmare”. Unfortunately, this nightmare can last long after the Christmas season is over and in some cases, you could be fighting this crime till next Christmas.
Do you think this scenario is farfetched? Do you think it couldn’t happen to you?
Identity Theft has been the number one white collar crime for the last eight years in America. Because of the “Financial Meltdown on Wall Street and Main Street” in 2008 (approx. 10 million ID Theft Victims), the number of “Identity Theft Victims” for 2009 could surpass fifteen million victims. Business and Consumer losses due to “Identity Theft” in 2009 are estimated to be between SIXTY and SEVENTY BILLION DOLLARS ($60,000,000,000). That is a whole lot of zeroes that we all will be paying for next year with higher prices. Don’t be looking for a bailout from Washington on this one. They are part of the reason why we have this mess.
Since November 2008, our organization has received approximately twelve hundred phone calls or E-Mails from victims all over the country. This doesn’t include the more than sixty thousand visitors we have had on our web site this past year.
Besides the cases involving stolen credit cards, debit cards and checking account information, we have received numerous inquiries concerning skimming and security breaches from these victims. One victim had her name, address and driver’s license number stolen by a “Identity Theft Check Fraud Ring” in Texas and the thieves wrote over sixty thousand dollars in fraudulent checks against her. The thieves didn’t have her bank account information, but her driver’s license number led investigators back to her. She ended up with three arrest warrants for check fraud against her. It took our organization a month to clear up the matter with the authorities.
This is why our organization is launching our “National Awareness and Educational Seminar Series” entitled, “Identity Theft, The Financial Raping of America” in North Texas on Monday Evening, November 23rd, 2009 under this new affiliation. This seminar will be held at the Holiday Inn Select Richardson, 1655 North Central Expressway, Richardson, TX. Seminar times will be from 7:00 P.M to 9:30 P.M. Registration desk will be open at 6:00 P.M. for seminar check-ins. Please bring a copy of your on-line registration invoice to expedite check-in.
In order to give everyone attending an early Christmas gift, we have suspended our customary seminar fees of forty dollars ($40.00) for this seminar. This two and-a-half hour Pre-Christmas Special of our "ID Theft Awareness & Educational Seminars" is being offered at an On-Line administrative price of $20.00 (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover). Please register early because seats are limited. You don’t want to miss this seminar!
This will be the only seminar we will be hosting for the 2009 Christmas season. Due to limited seating (250 seats), reservations are on a first-come; first serve basis and registration for this seminar will only be available through our on-line shopping cart. You can go to our web site or click on this PDF link: FLYER for Special ID Theft Seminar Nov 23 2009.pdf to see full details on seminar.
You can also click on this link on our welcome page "Identity Theft Seminars & Workshops" and click on seminar picture for access to our online shopping cart.
This seminar is a must for “Victims of Identity Theft” because seventy-three percent (73.0%) of all “ID Theft Victims” never file a police report (Source: Federal Trade Commission, 2008). Once “ID Thieves” have your information, they will use it over and over again to turn your life into a “Financial Nightmare”. Come learn the secrets the banks and credit card companies don’t want you to know. Remember, ID Theft is now striking one new victim every two or three seconds since the “Wall Street Meltdown” of 2008. Don’t let your 2009 Christmas season be spoiled by “Identity Thieves”.
The National Organization for Victims Assistance (NOVA) has launched this “National Identity Theft Task Force” to address the issues of identity theft that face every American consumer daily. We are proud to announce we have been chosen for NOVA’s New National Identity Theft Task Force. Please go to the links below to see all recent news stories concerning our organization:

http://www.reuters.com/article/pressRelease/idUS141032+05-Oct-2009+BW20091005
Our organization was recently honored for our work with “Victims of Identity Theft” in North Texas by being selected as one of “Sean Hannity’s Great Americans” on WBAP Radio 820 AM (Hal Jay Morning Show) during the week of June 29th to July 4th, 2009 in Dallas. We have also appeared on the “Leslie Taylor Hare Show” which was featured on Access 34.TV web site, September 10, 2009 to a worldwide audience.
We would like to thank everyone for their support. Your continued support is still needed so we can reach both victims and non-victims all across America.
Remember, “Identity Theft Is No Longer Someone Else’s Problem, It Is Everyone’s Problem”. “Identity Theft Education is Not Free”, just ask 60 million plus “Victims of Identity Theft” what their tuition cost was at the “University of Identity Thieves”.
Warm Regards and God Bless America,

STALIN, SAVIOR OR HANGMAN OF T
- From: tatarlak

Description:
One of the controversial issues of the Spanish Civil War, is the role played by the Soviet Union during the 3 years-long struggle ¿served the Stalin regime to the Republican cause, or conversely, you can say it was another of his executioners?, we will show the facts and everyone decides where final positioning andalusia.
Soviet aid to the Republican side in the military, was a ball of oxygen, given the international circumstances existing after the creation of the Committee of London, an organization created at the request of France to control the foreign intervention in Spain, which is joined 27 countries, among which are the major democratic powers of Europe at that time Great Britain and France.
This committee did not ever end, because from the beginning Germany, Italy and Portugal helped the rebels and the Republican side received support mainly from Russia, Mexico and France. The latter sold arms to the Republicans until they created the Committee of London. Also the United States helped the two sides since the rebels were selling gasoline and Republicans are selling aircraft, with the exception of Mexico and the United States, all were part of the Committee of London.
However, Soviet aid was conditional on the Republican side from the outset, the political aspect, because of the war in Russia against opponents of the Stalin regime, the persecution of the Trotskyist or those who leave the Stalinist doctrine that remained dormant in the XV Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union CPSU, which expelled the Trotskyists to Zinoviev and Kámenev, they were retracted and were readmitted into the party but did not recover their positions within the CPSU in 1934 with the beginning of the great purge and after the murder of Sergei Kirov, the party were expelled, arrested and forced to admit "moral complicity", after which they were sentenced to different periods of conviction in August 1936 both were sentenced to death in a trial farce. After expelling Trotsky from the party, was deported to Kazakhstan and finally expelled from the USSR. In 1929 until his death, he kept a firm opposition to Stalinism until his assassination in Mexico, August 21, 1940. Under these circumstances, come to Spain Marcel Rosenberg Soviet ambassador, accompanied by a large entourage which included, as head of the Soviet military mission, the former head of military intelligence, General Jan Berzin Soviets alongside other advisers, including Kulik and Goriev and marshals Malinovski and Rokossovki and koniev, Red Army officers who fought under a variety of disguises, including Colonel Lazar Stern, under the alias of General Emilio Kleber, who won fame as Savior of Madrid, or Dimitri Paulov, nicknamed Pablo, the most capable of leaders tanquistas, would become Polish defense minister after the end of World War II.
With regard to the logistical support for the war against the rebels, the Russians gave, according to some authors, in arms:
680 aircraft
331 tanks
1699 pieces of artillery
60 armored cars
450,000 guns
20,486 rifles and light machine guns machine guns
30,000 tons of ammunition
The cost of this military aid was $ 500 million in gold from the time an amount exorbitada for assistance.
Furthermore NKVD agents, led by future defector Alexander Orlov, who arrived in September 1936 to pursue any deviation from the Stalinist doctrine in Republican Spain of acting illegally in the Republican zone during the war and is in the background, a major concern was the influence of Stalin and Trotskyist infiltration in the Spanish Republic, because his victory could have moved him as the guarantor of the Marxist revolution, for this reason NKVD sent agents to Spain to also physically remove the primary recruitment center for the International Brigades (IB) in Paris, the NKVD interrogator to all the volunteers who did not belong to the party and many volunteers were asked passport before entering Spain and then the passports were sent to Moscow by diplomatic pouch. It is known that this procedure took at least 2000 American passport, which then served the NKVD agents to enter illegally in this country.
In Albacete, the basis of Biscay was under the control of the political direction of the Komintern, headed by André Marty, head of the French Executive Committee of the Communist International, who for years had worked for the Soviet military espionage and cooperated proactively in the covert war against the Trotskyism of the NKVD, one can say that Marty was one of the Communists, not Russian most obsessed with the elimination of opponents of Stalinism of any kind came with a large number of officials Komintern including delegates Italian Luigi Longo and Giuseppe de Vittorio, who detest fanaticism Marty. Stalinist but convinced, as the future leader of East Germany, Walter Ulbricht, who directed a unit of the NKVD who Trotskyist located in Biscay from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Marty followed his wake in the bloody and ruthless fighter against a Trotskyist of his colleagues wrote of him:
"For Marty the enemy within the territory was more Republican than the other side of the lines"
Because of his behavior, at the end was called to give explanations to the French Communist leaders in Paris, where he accepted without reservation, having ordered the brigade to shoot 500, stated that he had committed all sorts of crimes and were responsible for espionage Franco.
And that is in fact the Russians, did not cause divisions within the Republican camp, but encouraged it, with its persecution of heretics of Stalinism, in which Republican Spain were at their discretion, and essentially Trotskyist POUM militants.
Differences between Trotskyites and Stalinists in the ways of developing Marxism-Leninism and were reflected in the XIV Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in December 1925, there were two sides of thought, after Lenin's death in January 1924, while Trotsky advocated the theory of permanent revolution, Stalin defended the theory of socialism in one country only. This and the ruthless struggle for power, leading them to become staunch enemies, to accuse the anti-Trotskyist agents, which ended up being the list of enemies of the Russian people after the XV Congress of the CPSU held in 1929 .
In the above context, we can say that when the Spanish Civil War, was the POUM, which did not accept the tenets Stalinism.
The Workers Party of Marxist Unification was founded in 1935, at a crucial moment in the Second Republic by the union of the Spanish Communist Left (ICE), the Bloque Obrero Campesino (BOC).
The ICE was a Trotskyist party in origin, although by this time had broken with these postulates, was founded by Juan Andreu Nin and Andrade, the latter had been personal secretary to Trotsky in Moscow, also part of the Left Opposition who opposed to the rise of Stalin within the CPSU, in 1930 left the Soviet Union.
The BOC was a communist party put on all of Catalonia, its leader was Joaquin Maurin had been leader of the Balearic Communist Federation, a federation of the PCE that territorial split of the party in 1930.
The POUM criticized what I found and totalitarian bureaucratic degeneration of the Russian revolution at the hands of Stalin, was the only party that ordered Processes Moscow, in his paper "La Batalla". Despite being a revolutionary Marxist party, the POUM had multiple internal trends.
Formed part of the Popular Front in the elections of 1936, Joaquin Maurin, general secretary of the POUM, was elected deputy for the Republican Cortes, in his speeches in Parliament claimed that the great danger to the Republic was not the strike or occupation land in the spring of 1936, but the conspiracy was brewing military and right-wing political violence.
When the war, the conflict was surprised Maurin Galicia in organizing the POUM, because in Galicia won the military uprising. This area Republican attempt to escape but was arrested in Jaca and imprisoned under the false name of Maximum Uriarte, every step of the civil war in jail. In 1944 he was tried and sentenced to 30 years in prison, was pardoned in 1946, was exiled to the United States where he died on November 5, 1973.
With the disappearance from the scene of Maurin, Nin became executive secretary of the POUM, he was a staunch defender of the collective revolution developed in Catalonia in 1936 believed that war and revolution were intrinsically linked the July 21, 1936 the CNT and the POUM, along with other political forces in Catalonia, was the Central Committee of Antifascist Militias (CCMA), dissolved in October 1936. He also participated actively in the Catalan institutions, and counselor of justice of the Government until December 1936 when the Catalan government was ousted by the pressures of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE), after which they were agents of Stalinism.
In the events of May 1937, the POUM was part of the anarchists, but in the article by Agustí Gillamón entitled:
"The left of the POUM in May 1937. Militancy and political thought of Josep Rebull "
Deduce that the leadership of the POUM was not in favor of this survey, even so, it assumed that the PCE immediately requested the banning of the POUM. That same month, the head of the Foreign Intelligence Department of the Cheka (INO) Slutski informed the NKVD troops in Spain "All our attention is concentrated in Catalonia and in our relentless fight against the bandits Trotskyists, the POUM and the fascists" . In principle the government of Largo Caballero, tried to resist Soviet pressure, but after his downfall, his successor Juan Negrín less resistant to such attempts, he andalusia POUM.
On June 16, 1937, Andreu Nin, along with other leaders of the POUM as Gorkin Coat or Joseph, were arrested have been discovered among the papers seized from a network of the fifth column of Madrid, which showed the relationship between POUM and a spy for the rebels. These documents were a forgery by the NKVD, to eliminate a political party contrary to Stalinism on June 22 by order of General Orlov acting under the orders of Stalin, was assassinated Andreu Nin, leader of the POUM, after tortured to admit to espionage many members of the POUM soldiers were illegally shot after summary courts-martial, the communities were finally dissolved in August of that year by the Republican Army and then I end up trying to create a Marxist society full . Soon after, another former secretary of Trotsky, Irwin Wolf was kidnapped and murdered by the NKVD in Barcelona.
From this moment, the efforts of Republican war on the side, took a single political and military, which was to fight the rebels, but it was too late, Franco had become leader of the rebels and the Republican ranks there were fears another purge, which created irreconcilable divisions.
On April 1, 1939 the Spanish Civil War ended with the disastrous end to the Republican side, who had been unable cohesion and fight in one direction, but obviously, the question remains without a clear answer really, was the Stalinism, the savior or the Republican side of the executioner, "after reading the above and more, one reaches the inevitable conclusion that the problem of the Republicans were a lot of problems. One of which was that the Soviet aid, as well as being overvalued economically, politically conditioned and we can see clearly, given the behavior of the NKVD or Komintern the pursuit of those who are interested in us, if though the POUM, with the anarcho syndicalist, rose against the republic at a time when it had to be cohesive and combat all in the same direction. It is no less true in the case of the POUM, the organization and was being harassed by the PCE by order of Stalin, as a breakaway party from the Stalinist view of Marxism-Leninism and be closer to the theories of Marxist collectivization would be framed in the third step of a Communist revolution and that is something that even Santiago Carrillo acknowledges in his memoirs, saying:
"Further analysis, less passionate, more objective, has to conclude that harassment against the POUM, the Trotskyite anti fever, had to create a situation of rounding itself to embark on an adventure like that, especially when in Catalonia , an anarcho syndicalist sector was willing to participate in it, disgusted with the policies of their own organization after the entry of the CNT in the government, threatening what they considered the libertarian revolution in Catalonia "
Next sentence Santiago Carrillo in his memoirs:
"This in my opinion, was the negative factor that had the support of the Soviet Union"
It is clear that in general the role played by aid to the Soviet Republic, in my view, was, as I say at the outset, a balloon of oxygen for the military defense of the Republic, the leaders were unable to play it . Furthermore, with the death of Marxism in the Soviet Union, from the moment that Stalin became head of the CPSU, meant that the aid would be conditional to the Republic from the beginning that Stalinism was too preoccupied to remove the dissent and divided rather than united it. The excesses of men like Marty or the murder of Nin, in general the purge within the Republican ranks, we are told that this aid was not anything solid, it should be efficient, and that is that the Stalinist help the Republicans, far to be the necessary impetus to these conditional enormously in political and international recognition has been less andalusia be supported by a regime that many governments, in those days, fearful that Hitler's own, but to be honest, I must say that without this assistance, the republic had not survived and that is why, in this sense we can say today that Soviet aid was a momentary salvation for the Second Spanish Republic.

Description:
- What do people think of when the term "fear mongering" is blurted out? Do images of President Bush pop into your head with visions of jihadists lurking in the shadows? American liberals painted George Bush's fanaticism in protecting Americans from Muslim terrorists as a crude, discriminatory pact with the Devil in order to profit from the acquisition of Iraqi oil fields. During the years of the Bush presidency, the wonderful Democrats warned Americans of the dangers of falling into neocon fear tactics while trying to portray a collosal imagery of Muslim terrorists as misunderstood freedom fighters with hearts of gold. We have seen a useless peanut farmer named Carter glorify Islamic extremism in order to further promote anti-semitism. We saw the same Democrats (that practically waited in line with Monica Lewinski) basically beg President Clinton in 1998 to sign legislation to force regime change in Iraq. These Democrats, which included John Kerry and Ted Kennedy, cited the intelligence, ultimately given to future President Bush, that demanded a resolution to Iraq's refusal to eliminate weapons caches and various weapons development. The convenient war hawks that they are, 1990's Democrats seethed with earnest in going to war against Saddam Hussein, just as Democrats had procured U.S. involvement in nearly every notable war in the 20th century - WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Bosnia. President H.W. Bush brought the U.S. into the first Iraq war; Democrats felt that H.W. had not gone far enough. With nearly unanimous Congressional agreement, President Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act into law - the unofficial, unspoken, and forgotten beginning of U.S. led regime change against Saddam Hussein. And the rest is history....
- Despite the fact that Democrats engineered Islamic "fear mongering," liberals were allowed to scoff at Islamic terrorism - a benefit of President Bush's dedication to fighting terrorists when Democrats groveled in their own putrid excrement and while reveling in their own complacency because the "Bush doctrine" had actually protected them from further American attacks. Hindsight may be 20/20, but Democrats are blind to their own demise and President Hopey Change failed to see the error of liberal complacency....... until Ft. Hood. Has Nidal Hasan changed the Democrats view on soft policies in battling terrorism propogated by Islamic extremism? Certainly, Democrats have adjusted their glasses and limited the consumption of their Hope and Change Kool-aid, but don't expect to hear this from them. Conceding the truth of Hasan's premeditated terrorist act clearly exacts the truth from behind the shadows of the Democrats' proxy war against Bush's intention to protect this nation from violence borne from the scourges in Islamic society. In short, future books written on the history of American resistance to acts of terrorism are likely to relate that Bush and Cheney were correct. Obama could learn from his predecessors if he is willing to exchange his power trip for an honest concern for national defense.
- So what of "fear mongering"? Who are the actual fear mongerers? A look at recent history reveals that Democrats labeled Bush as a "fear mongerer". Democrats used the Republican fear mongering phrase to scare voters away from voting Republican in the 2006 Congressional elections and the 2008 Congressional and presidential elections. Democrats claim that Republicans sacrifice the middle class in favor of the wealthy - classic Democrat fear mongering against Republicans. Democrats use healthcare as a crutch to scare voters into voting against Republicans - "Those Republicans want Americans to die so that pharmaceutical companies can turn a profit" - even more fear mongering...... Democrats used the issue of Social Security privatization as a tactic against Republicans - "The Republicans want to squander away your retirement in the Stock Market so that Wall Street traders can get richer while retirees starve to death" - fear monger much? The problem faced by our nation is that Democrat voters fail to understand the issues facing this nation. Democratic politicians further exacerbate the ignorance of Democratic-leaning voters by using catchy nightmare scenarios against political adversaries for the sake of securing votes. Forget the fact that Democrat politicians use bold lies for political expediancy, political campaigning is a mere means to an end for liberal politicians and the end result (winning an election), certainly justifies the means to determined Saul Alinsky pupils such as President Obama.

- Did you notice that the issue of racism permeates our society? While racism, race wars, and race baiting rears it's ugly head as a plague of extreme proportions on the landscape of overt fear mongering and division, an oft considered cynacism in our society demonstrates racism in the loudest, and also, the most innocous forms. Sadly, Americans cry "racism" as a smokescreen for the promotion of personal agendas - often, those whom claim to seek social inclusion, equality, and diversity can be the most divisive. And the stark accusation of racism is easy in even the most subtle form. For example, imagine the following: Did you notice that 99% of Tea-Party particpants are white? What does this mean? Race based preferences toward John McCain in 2008 indicate exit polling data tilted heavily toward older, white voters. Equally as interesting, did you notice that 99% percent of black voters voted for Obama? What does this mean? Moreover, if 67% of the Latino vote went to Obama and 30% went to McCain, while the remaining Latinos voted for Pedro, does this mean that Hispanics vote 2/3 of the time on race-based immigration issues? The asian vote tallied 62% of the vote for Obama compared to 35% for McCain. Now here's the compelling part, Arab-Americans voted 54% for Obama and 33% for McCain, indicating the smallest racial divide of the aforementioned racial groups. While Arab Americans seem to be an ostracized minority, polling data indicates that Arab Americans might exhibit the smallest racial undertones.... While this is not really a strong indicator of the true state of racism in this nation, the argument may be strong enough to make you say "uhhhhhh".

- One of the most insulting forms of fear mongering used by liberals is the issue of "global warming." Not just the notion of "global warming," but the implication of "man-made global warming." Shiver me timbers, but the fear of humanity is simply overwhelming, isn't it? While capitalism is the supposed bane of the wacky right-wingers, U.S. federal subsidies drive the bandwagon of global research organizations whom are financially encouraged to promote the hypothesis of man-made global warming. Do not misconstrue the notion that federal subsidies are the sole driving force behind the global warming scheme; capitalism has certainly turned Al Gore's Academy Award into pure gold. Scientific research organizations reap the rewards of the subsidy charade, and the result of skewed climate history and forecasting is mere collateral damage to the profit motives of global warmers. Democrats ignore the data and research of dissent against the money-making postulation of global warming. Thus far, scientists have yet to reach a clear concensus on whether we are cooling down or heating up - should I buy more shorts or jackets? The only clear fact is that the Democratic party envisions a sure-fire government revenue jackpot from the fear brought by myths generated by global warming. While Democrats know of the certain economic disaster that will ensue by an enaction of Cap and Trade legislation, a greater agenda of the Democratic party is revealed - the party of "the poor and middle class" care little about the calamity brought to Americans who are unable to afford dramatically increased energy costs caused by the "trade" of cap and trade. For a clearer wake-up call on global warming and the activism of federal mandates, read this whole article eight or ten times and let it sink in....

- Perhaps the funniest fear mongering tactic used by liberals is the attack and smear campaign of liberals against any person whom represents a danger to the continued power grab of maniacal Democrats in office. The GOP views Sarah Palin as a fresh face in the midst of political crooks, liars, and moonbats. The Democrats view Sarah Palin as the most dangerous adversary against the Democrats pledge to rake Constitutionality and liberty over the coals. Interestingly, although Sarah Palin is no longer in public office, Democrats hold a fear of Palin that is not only nuerotic, but also hillarious. Have you noticed how everytime Sarah Palin makes the news there always seems to be a "Fact Check" article waiting in the wings to protect the Democrat's socialist interests?
- The liberals say "but neocons use fear mongering to label Obama as a 'socialist'". What does it mean when European socialists believe that Obama is too socialist?
- ...... and then liberals argue that conservatives blame Obama for everything that is wrong in this nation, notably the economy and unemployment. They then babble unintelligently that "this is not Obama's economy, he inherited it..." To the contrary, Obama accepted the economy with open arms back in July. The disaster that is the American economy is all Obama.

- and I heard him exclaim as he rode out of sight, "happy fear mongering to all, and to all a good night!"

Trials & Temptations
- From: RichardRay
-
Description:
Friday November 13, 2009
Warning - lot of God talk in this blog. Proceed with that caution.
As some of you know, this has been a trying time for the Ray household. Catherine's 81-year-old father underwent bypass surgery last week and suffered a series of strokes. That combined with a bunch of other family challenges (when it rains, it really does pour!) have led to a lot of prayer, soul searching, Bible study. One particular discussion between Catherine and sister Darla had me cracking The Book today and addressing what I think is a common misconception among Believers - that "God won't give me more than I can handle." In terms of temptation -- that promise is clear:
"God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it" (1 Corinthians 10:13)
But trials - those are a different story. In fact, the God who loves us does give us more than we can handle - at least, more than we can handle on our own. I believe that when we come to the end of what, we think, we can deal with, we are forced to turn to Him:
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
I'm reminded that yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has worries of its own. Today we are to "give thanks in all circumstance" and revel in the blessings He has heaped upon us.
For days prior to the onset of this latest set of trials I've had the words to a Praise Song playing in my head (another gift from God) - preparing me I believe now for what was ahead.
"Strength will rise, as we wait upon the Lord, wait upon the Lord."

Obama blog, 7 months ago.
- From: Gus

Description:
My brother in St.Louis posted this there today:
*** I posted the following blog 7 months ago, and it remains appropriate today, excluding the location of the speech:
''Made a serious effort this morning to watch and listen carefully to Obama's speech in Strassbourg, France. Wanted to give the guy a break, even though I was not one of his supporters, and not at all interested in 'charismatic' talent. But it was very disappointing. The honeymoon with world-wide admirers will likely end after the normal lag between here and there, leaving everyone in an unknown territory. I now wonder even more than before if he is extremely naive, very stupid, or purposely leading this country into a radically idealogical hole. I hope I am wrong and that he fully succeeds in realistically guiding us out of our difficulties. But my doubts are growing stronger with each passing day.''
We have heard enough times now that he 'inherited' all these problems from the Bush administration. Only partially true, the war in Iraq being the only major issue. The financial bubble began and reached it's peak during the Clinton administration, with Democrats such as Frank and Dodd leading the way, notwithstanding the Republicans part of that phony 'great' economy then and during the following eight years. But consider the degree of damage to the economy and to personal freedoms, and then, if you can be honest with yourself, please explain who is hurting us most.
Partisan politics is no longer the answer. Removal of the arrogant elite from office is a beginning to the best answer. And to the one that said ''There is no intelligent life beyond the beltway'', I have a message. This country has survived more than 200 years inspite of Washington, D.C., not because of it.***
There are few words left to describe what Obama and his administration have done and are trying to do. His constant appearances are themselves a form of indoctrination. I'm flabbergasted that his popularity ratings are still so high. What a nightmare ! Stephen King, are you getting all this ?

The health bill passes the house with some undelying controversey. The president and congess still havent adressed the issue of our troops oversees. Our family and friends are dying daily. And Obama is jetting off on another trip stating he wants more options and he will address the issue after his trip. THE WAR ON TERRORISM SHOULD BE PRORITY ONE FOR THIS ADMINISTRATION ADDRESS. GIVE THE GENERAL THE PERSONEL AND EQUIPMENT needed to put an end to the war in afganistan. And get our hero's home.
I DONT BELIEVE A PERSON SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO BECOME PRESIDENT IS THAT PERSON HAS NEVER SERVED IN THE MILITARY. It should be a requirement for any nominee for the office, Since that person will be in charge of sending these young hero's into harms way. Why does he refuse to listen to the General he appointed? Because he doesnt have a clear picture of the possible political ramifications, if he makes the wrong decision. Its not a moral delema, it a political delena to this administration.
GOVERNMENT , From the president on down, APPOINTED BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE. This is no longer the case. This administration is only concerned about their agenga they want to impose on the AMERICAN people. WHATS BEST FOR THE PARTY, NOT THE PEOPLE. Show me program the government has implemented that is working. Other than running the military. There are none. And now thats program is in jeopordy. And our country is growing weaker by the day because VICTORY is not something Obama is comfortable accomplishing.
I know, the liberals are going to attack me with words, But everyone Ive talked to and listened to never have a point to their argument. They just want to argue because I dont share their insanity.

Injustice for traffic ticket f
- From: ignorantsystem2

Description:
Texas Traffic Ticket Death Sentence
No person shall ever be imprisoned for debt. Texas Constitution Article I Section 18
A tragic death in Tarrant County highlights the need to reform Texas traffic ticket laws.
Ten days into serving her sentence at the Tarrant County Jail, a Fort Worth woman died.
Police say Adrienne Lemons was serving time for unpaid traffic tickets. The 35-year-old was rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital on June 13, where she later died. Lemons leaves behind a 3-year-old child.
Lemons' family said she was not receiving the medication she needed for a serious medical condition.
In Texas traffic tickets do not contain jail as a possible punishment. No judge can sentence a traffic ticket defendant to any period of jail time. Nevertheless thousands of Texans are jailed annualy over traffic violations. How is this possible?
Two ways. The first is when a defendant does not appear at this traffic ticket court date and a failure to appear/warrant is issued. Second, failing to pay fines can lead to a warrant for the payment of those fines.
These unjust policies reflect the truth about Texas traffic enforcement. Tickets are taxes and local government will incarcerate to maximize revenue. Talk about public safety is good PR. However, the truth is that county jails in Texas have become debtors prisons, and our police are human repo men for local governments.
Like other unjust policies this has a disparate impact on the poor. Ticket defendants who can not afford an attorney or the prohibitive ticket fines have no choice but to "sit out" their fines in the county jail.
Contradictory Supreme Court rulings allow Texas police to arrest for traffic offenses, and allows the State to deny court appointed counsel to the indigent.
Texas needs to reform this system before another innocent person dies in jail. First, we need to end the practice of incarceration for failure to pay ticket fines. We do not allow the government to incarcerate for failure to pay other taxes (property, sales etc) why should ticket taxes be different. Texas already has the ability to suspend your driver's license for non payment.
Second, if Texans decide that some traffic offenses (driving with no license etc) should require jail time as a possible punishment the we need to require court appointed counsel in those cases.
Such a system would have prevented Ms. Lemon's death, and prevented the fake ticket scandal in Dallas. Government greed has already cost one life. No one should be imprisoned for debt. Traffic tickets should not be a death sentence.

-_- Again? Me? Really...
- From: Valkyrie

Description:
Once again, I have to be the mature one. I hate being me, I care too much, I've always cared too much for other people. But don't you think people are being unfair? It's turning into a mob scene and I don't mean the song. People are pointing their fingers at a select of people and blaming them for all their problems. This has happened before. The witch hunts in Europe and North American in the 1400s to 1700s, the Holocaust where the Germans blamed the Jews for all their problems and now it's going to start. Some of us are trying to prevent it. The only way for this to end is for someone to stand up and say stop. So yes, I'm standing on a milk crate...I really don't want to, but I know this is wrong, so I'm going to. I gave this same speech to my republican friend and he hugged me and said. "I understand hippie, I understand. Now sit your butt down you're blocking the TV" Aren't friends great, especially when they're your polar opposite? FYI I call him GOP Boy.
So, you think all muslims are killers? Really? Hmm, funny. During the crusades, the Christians fought the muslims for their "holy land" and you don't think they spared everyone? I kinda doubt it. It's not the right thing or the wrong...it was just a tragic thing because both sides had their reasons. Today, both sides still have their reasons. They still see this as a holy war, we're trying to kill them off. We know that's not true, they don't know that and if you keep talking like that. Someone not so nice to going overhear and it will get out to the wrong people. You'll be partially responsble for more needless bloodshed. And you can't say all Muslims are bad. You haven't met them all. I've only met five in my life. Three girls and two guys. The girls for the most part never said much, they only spoke if you spoke to them directly, so when people made fun of them, they would shy away, if they made of them in front of me, they got hit, hard. I didn't protect the girls, I taught the bullies a lesson in tolerance.
The two guys, oh they were funny, short, but funny. Amir and Abid. I met Amir in middle school. He was a talented artist, but people knew he was born in Iraq, moved to the US when he was four. Never did anything wrong, he could write in Arabic. His US history sucked, so I helped him. He sat right behind me. Never complained, he knew I was from DC, but never asked why my family decided to move, it was obvious, it was October 2001, a lot of people moved away from the area never to return. One day, people started to call him Osama. I couldn't do anything, I was new, and he asked not to. I don't why he didn't want me to. I don't know if he just didn't want a girl to help or he was protecting him. I never chance to ask. Two days later, he was beaten serverely by another student. Math textbook, heavy. Eight stitches, a black eye and crack rib. His family moved and I haven't seen him since. Just because he was from Iraq and he was muslim. Abid was my boss at my first job, also short, we called Canada, because his parents were from Pakistan, but he was born in Canada. He was also very nice, we never bothered him, especially during the holidays, his holidays. Ramadon was interesting, he would crane his neck out during sunset. One day he asked why. He said during Ramadon, they fasted until sundown. Stupid co-worker walks by and says "You really should convert." If looks could kill...oh if looks could kill. I quickly stepped in and said "He didn't mean it, he's being himself." Abid ignored him and went back to looking at the sun. Than he would order pizza. Olives...he ordered plain olive pizza. Gross...but he never asked us to participate. He'd watched us eat at noon and encourage us to eat what we could before the customers rushed in. Another nice guy, he moved back to Canada when the theater closed down.
Do you get what I'm saying? Saying every muslim is bad. Saying that they should just hire Christian and Jewish Arabs is no different from me saying that every white protestant is bad. White protestants are more than likely KKK members. So we should do away with them and keep only the White Christians, Jewish and basically everything, but white protestants. Does that seem fair? Does that seem...like an un biased idea? I'm just saying. Have you ever taken the time to think things through completely before you speak? What next? Are we going to start alienating those Hindu women who wear saris? I'm just saying, don't down a path where the bridge will burn behind you.

DIVORCE AGREEMENT
- From: Zcat

Description:
American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists et al:
We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce.... I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course.
Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way. Here is a model separation agreement:
Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.
We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.
You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore andRosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them). We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies,Wal-Mart, and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot
Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood ..You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.
We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N... but we will no longer be paying the bill.
We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.
You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a
right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World. We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name, our flag, and "In God We Trust".
Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.
Sincerely,

No need for a trial, Put him on the white house lawn and put a bullet in his heart and head and show the world that we will not tolerate this on american soil. Do not let the media make him a marter. Its time we sent a clear consise message to the people who would do us harm in our hometown that you might kill a few, but the many will kill you back before the end of the evening news. I dont care why he did it. He had a choice and options. I dont care if his lawyer feels he wont get a fair trial. He is not deserving of anything other than immediate death.

Politically Incorrect.... the
- From: daniel_b
-
Description:
"It's always nice when Republicans ignore the good and magnify the not so good, isn't it?"
Oh yes, just as Democrats did for eight long years. The Democrat vision of the United States during the Bush presidency was viewed through a prism of abject negativity, and then Democrats have the nerve to cry in their toasted oats when the tables are turned on their great community organizing president and his Congressional band of nitwits. Contrary to the typical perception of those whom disagree with our executive community organizer, I fully believe that Obama is brilliant (just had to get that off my chest...) - Obama is doing everything that he has pledged to do. But lets face it, Congressional Democrats hold the combined intellectual integrity of a frozen corndog. Even worse, what does this say for the people that voted the Democrats into office? This may not be P.C., but it is real. And so....- You simply cannot ignore the fact that the voting electorate that did not fall into the hypnotism of Obama's charm have questioned the constitutionality of Opelosibama Care. Simply put, our federal government has no Constitutional authority to take over a private sector which comprises 18% of the national economy. The Constitution was written with the original intent of providing a strong, but limited government that will provide for national defense and the protections of citizens from the lawlessness of others - all other powers are left to the individual states. There is no article of the Constitution that otherwise empowers or grants the federal government with unlimited power to deliberately create an overbearing imposition within the lives of lawful Americans. Democrats cite the Commerce clause of the Constitution as the great authorization to pillage and destroy....but nope, it's not there. Democrats love to cite the General Welfare clause in order to shape society with the new brand of "general welfare" promoted by Great Society liberals. Unfortunately for these witless munchkins, the welfare clause of the Constitution was not written to include food stamps, Section 8 housing to crack addicts, and free medical care to those whom prefer government control in lieu of personal responsibility. More to the point, our system of law states that it is illegal to force adult Americans to receive healthcare which they do not want to receive - yet Democrats want to impose health insurance mandates on all Americans and force Americans to receive healthcare. While Democrats hurdle headlong into a mystical fairytale somewhere far away from the land of sanity, Americans are watching patient rights being sucked into an unconstitutional void.
- The problem that Americans face with the constitutionality of Opelosibama Care is that Obama and his Democratic misfits in Congress believe that Constitutionality is in the eye of the beholder. Curiously, I submit to you Obama's perception of the Constitution: "Ultimately, though, I have to side with Justice Breyer's view of the Constitution - that it is not static but rather a living document, and must be read in the context of an ever-changing world." The Audacity of Hope (pg. 90). What Obama is saying is that he views the Constitution as a flexible guideline that can be molded to fit personal ambitions and shaped to fit a political campaign that offers lawless vote-buying in the name of various unconstitutional entitlement sweepstakes. Obama believes that sociological and physical circumstance defines the application of our laws. Is Obama's view remotely realistic? To accurately create a parallel example, imagine that you are driving down the road. The speed limit sign reads 45 m.p.h. Do you drive at 45 m.p.h.? If Obama's view on the interpretation of law is correct, then you should be allowed to determine the context of the law that orders a maximum speed of 45 m.p.h. and determine that since the sky is clear, traffic is relatively light, and the road runs straight ahead with no curves that you can drive relatively safely at 95 m.p.h. If we believe that laws and legislation are not static, can we insert our opinions and personal perceptions to accomodate our personal agendas? If so, I'll never be late to work again....
- But why would Obama side with an extreme Constitutional point of view? At one time, did Obama not pretend to be a professor of Constitutional law? Why does Obama reject the intent and purpose of the Constitution as written by the Founding Fathers of our nation? Again I refer you to The Audacity of Hope: "There's a school of thought that sees the Founding fathers only as hypocrites and the Constitution as a betrayal of the grand ideas set forth by the Declaration of Independance; that agrees with early abolitionists that the Great Compromise between North and South was a pact with the Devil." (Throwing out the race card?)
- While Americans are either embracing Opelosibama Care or hating Opelosibama Care, has anyone noticed that this monstrous bill aims to effectively eliminate the antitrust exemptions held by insurance companies? Does anyone even care? If you actually care about the future of healthcare in this nation, get your jar of Vaseline, bend over, grab your ankles, and ask yourself why the government would even care to end antitrust exemptions of insurance companies. The notion of legislating antitrust regulations is almost entirely noble - those "evil" insurance companies will no longer be able to form market monopolies, nor will they be able to assault Americans with price fixing at ourageously expensive rates, or even arrange business mergers that drive up costs. Merrily, antitrust laws will allow the government to increase regulations against corporate insurance companies and eliminate certain judicial protections. Sounds great, huh? Now for the ugly part...... Why would the government implement laws that guarantee market competition when the government will be the primary competitor of existing private insurance companies? If the government truly cared about market competitiveness, would they not legalize private health insurance policies across state lines? For that matter, will the government be subject to antitrust laws? Stop laughing now and note that the government will be allowed to implement premium costs that are much lower than market value - otherwise known as predatory pricing by private companies, but considered fair and just when offered by government liberals - while those great antitrust regulations will prohibit insurance companies from doing the same thing. Will the private insurance companies (while pricing premiums through the restrictions of market forces) be capable of competing with artificially low prices offered by government insurance? If you haven't figured this one out yet, the end of antitrust exemptions to insurance companies will eventually drive private insurance out of business and leave the U.S. government as the primary insurer to all Americans. Guess what you have then - single payer healthcare! Oh.... and while Democrats in Congress are conducting ethics investigations (what a joke...), remember that antitrust legislation is a major gift from the Democrats to trial lawyers - a.k.a. one of the the biggest groups of campaign contributors to Democratic political campaigns and also one of the biggest group of vampires sucking the blood of insurance malpractice costs. Okay now - straighten up, dry off, and remember that it only hurts when you're thinking; Democrats don't seem to feel a thing....

Soros-funded response to Fort
- From: Zcat

Description:
Media Matters Attacks ‘Right Wingers’ for ‘Attacking American Muslims’ after Muslim Attacks Americans
In a world gone mad, be grateful the George Soros Steno Pool at Media Matters has its priorities straight.
Thirteen Americans have been murdered by a home grown Islamic terrorist and traitor, but for Media Matters, that’s another precious opportunity to scold their racist, redneck countrymen for asking uncomfortable questions.
Today’s Media Matters’ headline declares: “Right-Wing Media Respond To Fort Hood Shooting By Attacking American Muslims”:
But none of the “right wingers” they cite in their post do any such thing.
Not one of them calls on the federal government to, say, round up and jail American Muslims. Not one suggests the bombing of local mosques, a halt to immigration from Muslim nations, or even giving hijab clad women dirty looks on the subway.
The pundits quoted by Media Matters do mention the Fort Hood shooter by name, obviously, with blogger Pamela Geller calling him a “pig.”
Another blogger, Debbie Schlussel, denounces “all of the other Muslim American traitorous soldiers in the U.S. military who’ve shot their fellow soldiers up and killed them or otherwise helped the enemy” — a pattern soundly documented at Investor’s Business Daily last week.
Like the other “right wingers” singled out by Media Matters (such as Michelle Malkin and Tucker Carlson) Geller and Schlussel confine their comments to the very specific subject of Muslims currently serving in the American military, and how they are being trained and treated. A timely topic for discussion if ever there was one.
Unless you’re a professional leftist at Media Matters, where looking through the wrong end of the telescope is part of the job description.
Nothing Malkin or the others said seemed particularly shocking or outrageous to me, naturally. (Then again, I used up my weekend quota of “outrage” on General Casey, whose recent remarks wouldn’t sound terribly out of place in the Media Matters comments section.)
What I did find troubling was the sheer number of question marks sprinkled among their statements.
Even my fellow “right wingers” — among them the bravest and most outspoken on “our side” – feel obliged (perhaps by the current rules for polite, politically correct discourse) to “phrase their answers in the form of a question.” Like you have to do on that game show.
What’s it called again? Oh yeah: Jeopardy.

"Allahu akbar!"
- From: chardoney
-
Description:
"On Thursday afternoon, a radicalized Muslim US Army officer shouting, "Allahu akbar!" ("God is great!") committed the worst act of terror on American soil since 9/11. And no one wants to call it an act of terror or associate it with Islam. What cowards we are. Political correctness killed those patriotic Americans at Fort Hood as surely as the Islamist gunman did. And the media treat it like a case of nondenominational shoplifting. This was a terrorist act. When an extremist plans and executes a murderous plot against our unarmed soldiers to protest our efforts to counter Islamist fanatics, it's an act of terror. Period.
When the terrorist posts anti-American hate speech on the Web; apparently praises suicide bombers and uses his own name; loudly criticizes US policies; argues (as a psychiatrist, no less) with his military patients over the worth of their sacrifices; refuses, in the name of Islam, to be photographed with female colleagues; lists his nationality as "Palestinian" in a Muslim spouse-matching program and parades around central Texas in a fundamentalist playsuit -- well, it only seems fair to call this terrorist an "Islamist terrorist." But the president won't. Despite his promise to get to all the facts. Because there's no such thing as "Islamist terrorism" in ObamaWorld. And the Army won't. Because its senior leaders are so sick with political correctness that pandering to America haters is safer than calling terrorism "terrorism."
And the media won't. Because they have more interest in the shooter than in our troops -- despite their crocodile tears.
Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan planned this terrorist attack and executed it in cold blood. The resulting massacre was the first tragedy. The second was that he wasn't killed on the spot.
Hasan survived. Now the rest of us will have to foot his massive medical bills. Activist lawyers will get involved, claiming "harassment" drove him temporarily insane. There'll be no end of trial delays. At best, taxpayer dollars will fund his prison lifestyle for decades to come, since our politically correct Army leadership wouldn't dare pursue or carry out the death penalty.
Maj. Hasan will be a hero to Islamist terrorists abroad and their sympathizers here. While US Muslim organizations decry his acts publicly, Hasan will be praised privately. And he'll have the last laugh.
But Hasan isn't the sole guilty party. The US Army's unforgivable political correctness is also to blame for the casualties at Fort Hood.
Given the myriad warning signs, it's appalling that no action was taken against a man apparently known to praise suicide bombers and openly damn US policy. But no officer in his chain of command, either at Walter Reed Army Medical Center or at Fort Hood, had the guts to take meaningful action against a dysfunctional soldier and an incompetent doctor.
Had Hasan been a Lutheran or a Methodist, he would've been gone with the simoom. But officers fear charges of discrimination when faced with misconduct among protected minorities.
Now 12 soldiers and a security guard lie dead. At least 38 people were wounded, 28 of them seriously. If heads don't roll in this maggot's chain of command, the Army will have shamed itself beyond moral redemption.
There's another important issue, too. How could the Army allow an obviously incompetent and dysfunctional psychiatrist to treat our troubled soldiers returning from war? An Islamist wacko is counseled for arguing with veterans who've been assigned to his care? And he's not removed from duty? What planet does the Army live on?
For the first time since I joined the Army in 1976, I'm ashamed of its dereliction of duty. The chain of command protected a budding terrorist who was waving one red flag after another. Because it was safer for careers than doing something about him.
Get ready for the apologias. We've already heard from the terrorist's family that "he's a good American." In their world, maybe he is.
But when do we, the American public, knock off the PC nonsense?
A disgruntled Muslim soldier murdered his officers way back in 2003, in Kuwait, on the eve of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Recently? An American mullah shoots it out with the feds in Detroit. A Muslim fanatic attacks an Arkansas recruiting station. A Muslim media owner, after playing the peace card, beheads his wife. A Muslim father runs over his daughter because she's becoming too Westernized.
Muslim terrorist wannabes are busted again and again. And we're assured that "Islam's a religion of peace." I guarantee you that the Obama administration's nonresponse to the Fort Hood attack will mock the memory of our dead. " former Lt. Col. Raph Peterson @ new york post

ENERGY CRISIS CORE
- From: tatarlak
-
Description:
When the international financial crisis erupted in October 2008, and analysts began to see the magnitude of this, there were many who talked about the remaking of capitalism after the traumatic and inexorable decline of the financial system and the need to seek a new system to replace capitalism, which had failed, and while it is true that this crisis is the result of system failure by a chronic disease that suffers and that goes back to its beginnings which we see reflected in the history of economic crises in cases like the bubble of the South Seas, in the England of 1720, which was affected even the illustrious Isaac Newton, or the financial Panic of 1907, after which created the Federal Reserve System or the crack of 29, known as Black Thursday, that saw Keynesianism in all the common factor is the speculative bubble and that it is as I said before, an endemic of the socioeconomic structure, but the point is that the crisis of the system Financial are borne by society and its lasting effects although depending on the virulence with which he has entered the system have solutions that are in the hands of those who run the economy because the financial system in all its aspects no longer an artificial system created by man to regulate the economy at all levels.
However, there are other crises, energy crises, these according to their virulence may affect a greater or lesser extent to the markets and hence the economies and in this case the solution passed through the procurement of raw material and provided more will depend on the availability, capacity and will supply this field in 1973, we had an energy crisis due to the embargo extent that OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) submitted to the United States and its Western allies have helped Israel in the Yom Kippur War, but that was an artificial crisis in the energy market, another product we had in 1979 the war between Iran and Iraq, which fired again oil prices, and if we reviewing the history we will find more energy crisis that caused fluctuations in oil prices, however in all cases the solution was further open up the faucet, but what happens when the tap is there and he did not leave anything?, that it to be a historical crisis is that what in this article I am going to speak.
The energy problem in 2008 came to its peak around the month of July of that year, in those days an article in the newspaper El Pais show us a dire socio-economic reality and real-time point, the benchmark index of the Mortgages in Europe, the Euribor, was 5.4%, fuels their highs touched the barrel of oil reached $ 146 a barrel and fuel prices in the euro area were breaking records, a liter of gasoline super cost € 1.26 liter diesel was on the threshold of 1.30 €, stated that in a year, in percentage expensive gasoline was 15% and diesel by 33.5%, while crude reference in Europe was 54 to 92 euros per barrel, 72% more. And is that the energy crisis is a problem if I dug more fundamental to the economic crisis, and that unlike the national or international economic crisis which has a solution since due to the economic structures which are none the less, structures artificial man-made growth therefore manipulated by man. In an energy crisis in which the problem is the lack of raw materials maneuverability of the agents charged with the energy markets remain forever diminished in terms of raw material on which orbits such crises as if the problem is the
lack of raw materials this will escalate the prices of existing raw materials and in turn a problem for the economic structure, except that in this case the manipulation of man will not give the same results in an economic crisis because it does not can perform the miracle of the loaves and fish oil.For this reason we must understand the concept that as countries emerge from the global economic crisis, inexorably go into an energy crisis since the growth of economies is intrinsically linked to an increased demand for oil, which is that we must take into account that oil is the lifeblood of industry and civil society in countries with emerging economies and countries with economies consolidated, which will in the medium and long term entry into a new crisis, "The Energy" which will be much harder to leave, medium and long term because short-term solution is to increase oil production to meet demand is reducing the cost of a barrel of oil to medium term, which was the solution adopted by OPEC in 2008. Keep in mind that the problem is much deeper and difficult to solve since the increase of oil production to meet demand, will only be exhausted before it reserves on the planet and until that happens we will be doomed to humanity slowly but ineluctably toward an uncertain future in which we will consider the maintenance of energy production methods potentially dangerous as nuclear energy is safe while in the West, not so in countries where controls on the safety of these facilities leaves much to be desired and is to be taken into account that a problem in a nuclear plant in Pakistan for serious character Chernobyl-style may affect everyone if we take into account that the largest oil reserves in the world are coming to this country, without forgetting that wastes generated by these plants, we must also take into account the problem of climate change, which is linked to the use of fossil fuels.
The conclusion to be drawn from the energy problem in perspective, is that in July 2008 the energy crisis had plateaued with a barrel of oil to 147 dollars, and that was the end of a process that had begun to take shape long before In August of that year sharply lower oil prices result of increased production, although in those days there was not a G20 soon to find comprehensive solutions to energy problems, no one was willing to put billions in search of energy, cheap, safe and clean to create economic stability in the markets in the medium and long term and that will provide guarantees for the future and stability to the planet and that is a serious error since the energy crisis was overshadowed by the economic crisis and we must bear in mind that the energy crisis requires urgent solutions today since this problem is closely linked to climate change, which is a real and verifiable and that affects us all equally.
For this reason we take the inflection point that economic crisis has meant to mark a new direction in regard to a solution to global energy problems, as this solution will be the cornerstone around which to build a better tomorrow for all, will be the solution to remedy the major problems of mankind and this solution may combine to create a "sustainable society", with sustainable, effective and inexpensive for the planet that would be the first foundation of the world the morning as the construction of tomorrow starts today.Antonio Garcia Leal ®

Robert, I'm usually 100% in agreement with you, but this time I'm not so sure. If you take away the possibility of jail time, what incentive is there for someone to pay a traffic ticket? I think that the number of unlicensed and/or uninsured motorists out there indicates that for a substantial portion of the population, just suspending their drivers license isn't much of a motivator.

Great questions.
If Texas wants incarceration for tickets, then we must have court appointed counsel available. Otherwise, it's a corrupt money grab.
Uninsured motorists/unlicensed drivers are a huge problem in Texas. If Texans want to arrest for those offenses then we should grant indigent defense.
So maybe my new stance is
1. 95% of traffic offenses should have no arrest capability, even for failure to pay.
2. If you want to arrest for no DL/no insurance- then provide court appointed counsel.
Great points. Thanks for reading.

It is always a problem when money and government get together. As you state, "traffic tickets are a huge source of revenue for local governments"
That is the fundamental problem. If there was no incentive for the government to raise money this way, traffic laws would be much more sensible.
In Indonesia, the neither the military nor the police are fully funded by taxes, and are expected to provide ways of funding themselves. This leads to huge corruption because they effectively run two protection rackets to raise the money.
Should we be promoting this type of corruption in the United States by allowing local jurisdictions to keep the money from fines? If you reduce the maximum fine you remove the incentive for people not to break the law. But if you remove the monetary benefit of the fines from the local jurisdictions, you eliminate the abuse.

What can we do to be heard? That is horrible what happened to the young lady. I want to help.

Ms. Cook,
What to do? That is a tough question. First, I would contact my state rep and let them know you want the system reformed.
Second, share this post with others so we can spread the word about this injustice.
Thanks for reading,

This was my daughter-in-law. She was not perfect but she did not deserve this. Maybe the deputies or jailers could not give out meds BUT they are responsible to get her medical attention. She did hand over three prescription bottles when she entered their care.

This is the reason why I fear the police more than the criminals. I have lived overseas in socialist countries and experienced the fear of knowing the police, prosecutors and judges have all the power, guns and colorable authority to destroy your life. No wonder so many wealthy educated Americans are permanently emigrating to other countries to get away from the creeping fascism here.

I am one of those in debt from Washington state thanks to traffic laws there I got pulled over and ticketed I face 90 days in jail and 1000 dollars in fines for driving while suspended I had a legal license for 10 years and only 2 of it was for Washington state I never received any infractions in any other states I was licensed. I left the state and live elsewhere now I still have a pending traffic court date, but I'll be damned if I am going to spend another dime on those leeches and do 90 days in jail for a paperwork offense. I served the jail time for the DUI offense and got behind on the money owed. I worked my entire time living in that state paying the ridiculous mandatory insurance rates, starving to death, sleeping in my car so I could raise the funds to get out of debt so I could get it reinstated. So I bought a bus ticket and left, no way in hell should I get a longer jail sentence for being broke compared to the original offense. I did the 1 day minimum in jail on a first offense for a DUI before that my record was great for 9 years, the minimum jail for driving while suspended is ten days in Washington and they don't care for what reason either you could have an unpaid speeding ticket and thats what it will get you.

I hope the Lemons family sues and get the ball rolling on all the deaths in Tarrant County, In Aug of 2003, we lost an Uncle in Tarrant County Greenbay jail under odd circumstances, my grandmother was able to see Danny by a video on the 3rd day of his death. She got to see him only in transport from one van to another going to the funeral home. They even done his makeup and cut his hair for know extra charge at the morgue. The funny thing is a jailer posing as inmates writes several letters saying Danny was a good man and died in his sleep, about 15 inmates in all, it was handwriting analyzed this man wrote as at least 7 of them I have documentations. In Dec 2004 we get another letter, after my Aunt wrote to him calling him a murderer, this one addressed Colorado Springs and post marked Ft Worth, talking about he didn't know how bad Danny's injuries where that he had received, again posing as someone else and again the handwriting is confirmed. Danny sure made a lot of friends in a short amount of time. The handwriting matches the officer, the signatures are ex-inmates that weren't even in jail at the time. The autopsy says heart attack, that's all, He was 40 in good health at the time before he went to jail. He had visible bruising around his neck, I have pictures that my Grandmother and her daughters took on the outgoing door of the medicals examiners, I have all the letters this so called officer wrote, I don't know what else to do. Can anyone out here help me stop them, more and more deaths are happening in Tarrant County Jail someone really needs to look into these deaths

Poor people need to pay their bills or they deserve to sit behind bars. If they can't afford a lawyer then tough cookies, freedom belongs in the hands of people with more money. People like you must work harder so people like me don't have to. :)

To Anonymous July 21, 2008 10:08 PM, You say that I need to work harder! well to tell the truth I own 3 business and I work more than most men or women and I pay my bills, I don't see why it gives any one any right to not give health care to another person, or to miss treat them due to the being in jail or in prison, they are still human, not a wild animal, if they acted that way, then they would be locked up and watched 24/7, and giving medicine to keep them sedated, I work hard to and still believe that you treat people with dignity and not persecute them ,that is what the law is for.

The problem is that no one has the money to challenge local laws (and state) in federal court. Most of the local stuff would not survive constitutional challenge, but as history reveals, unconstitutional laws remain on the books until challenged in federal court. I was arrested, fined, required to report in, etc., etc., all many months before I was convicted of a driving violation. Due process is a joke when there is no federal protection of my constitutional rights.

Hi, great article. I am being hounded by Linebarger and Goggan regarding a traffic ticket I already paid around 2003. Hopefully, I can resolve this issue with them, but the problem is that I am indigent. I receive $885 in SSDI per month. Mr. Guest, is it possible that I will have my license suspended or I will be arrested without the opportunity to be heard if I don't pay the $300 they are asking? I drove with an outdated maintenance sticker, which I promptly fixed. Tell me I can't go to jail for this? Can you recommend any pro bono help? What options do I have if I want to go to court to resolve this? I am indigent, so all of my filing fees should be free. Thanks. Anthony, Dallas County.

hi all
i am a foreigner and got a ticket in california state a year ago. i didn't pay for it and now i am going to states in a few months' time, will I be faced with an arrest warrant if i pass through the custom?

It is all about money. Most people don't pay fines because they don't have the money! If you had to choose between feeding your hungry child and insurance what would you pay? Would you not go to work and let your child starve because you didn't have insurance? People cannot afford all this crap!!!~!I work hard I have had insurance for many years, but as a single parent who got no child support I had to make choices. Sometimes my insurance lapsed till I could pay it. $2400.00 a year with a good driving record and an older vehicle! Not to mention 200.00 and up for the slightest infraction of traffic? That's insane!!!!!!

I am scared, the ticket is due tomorrow, I wonder if I show up to plead guilty but unable to pay fine, will they put me in jail. We only have a few chickens left to butcher. Can they put me in jail for unpaymentof this speeding ticket?

I am angry that they can put a warrant out for arrest in Texas. This is ridiculous and they come knocking on your door in front of your kids and family for as low as $50. This happened to me last night. I am a single mom at home getting my child ready for bed and a Tarrant County officer came banging on my door and flashlighting my windows trying to take me to jail. What the hell is wrong with this inconsiderate jerk who should be out arresting the real criminals. I am a single mother and have lost my job twice this year and its been a struggle. And they want to come banging on my door for 30 minutes scaring my child who had school in the morning by the way for a court cost from a traffic ticket. Is there any justice in the U.S. or the state of Texas. We have soldiers out here fighting for our live and they get ruined over traffic tickets inside our own country because of the hardships of some. Sick, makes me so sick. After losing my job I lost my car, my home and other things. Those things can be replaced though but someone taking me to jail in front of my child is not. I will fight this for any single mom and any one else til the day I die because this is rediculous. I cannot believe that the officer who is supposed to protect and serve does the exact opposite. Instead they arrest those who have traffic tickets and ruin their life and hurt their families by putting them in jail instead of giving them other options. I am putting this in GODS hands right now and I pray that they leave me alone at home and when I get all the financial pieces back together I will take care of their traffic ticket fine. But you tell me how I can help you get justice for this because I am thinking about calling all the news stations and frying everyones butts for this huge injustice. That officer who came to my door last night should be ashamed of yourself. If you were a single dad working your butt off after losing your job twice and trying to catch up and get everything back together and an officer came to your door while putting your child into bed so they can rest for school in the morning and they took you to jail... hoew would feel and what would your child do... they would be scared and where would they put them? So I pray this man does not come to my door threatening and harrassing me again about this traffic ticket. I will join the fight against this injustice even if it takes everything in me!!!!!
