Politically Incorrect - fearso

Description:
- What do people think of when the term "fear mongering" is blurted out? Do images of President Bush pop into your head with visions of jihadists lurking in the shadows? American liberals painted George Bush's fanaticism in protecting Americans from Muslim terrorists as a crude, discriminatory pact with the Devil in order to profit from the acquisition of Iraqi oil fields. During the years of the Bush presidency, the wonderful Democrats warned Americans of the dangers of falling into neocon fear tactics while trying to portray a collosal imagery of Muslim terrorists as misunderstood freedom fighters with hearts of gold. We have seen a useless peanut farmer named Carter glorify Islamic extremism in order to further promote anti-semitism. We saw the same Democrats (that practically waited in line with Monica Lewinski) basically beg President Clinton in 1998 to sign legislation to force regime change in Iraq. These Democrats, which included John Kerry and Ted Kennedy, cited the intelligence, ultimately given to future President Bush, that demanded a resolution to Iraq's refusal to eliminate weapons caches and various weapons development. The convenient war hawks that they are, 1990's Democrats seethed with earnest in going to war against Saddam Hussein, just as Democrats had procured U.S. involvement in nearly every notable war in the 20th century - WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Bosnia. President H.W. Bush brought the U.S. into the first Iraq war; Democrats felt that H.W. had not gone far enough. With nearly unanimous Congressional agreement, President Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act into law - the unofficial, unspoken, and forgotten beginning of U.S. led regime change against Saddam Hussein. And the rest is history....
- Despite the fact that Democrats engineered Islamic "fear mongering," liberals were allowed to scoff at Islamic terrorism - a benefit of President Bush's dedication to fighting terrorists when Democrats groveled in their own putrid excrement and while reveling in their own complacency because the "Bush doctrine" had actually protected them from further American attacks. Hindsight may be 20/20, but Democrats are blind to their own demise and President Hopey Change failed to see the error of liberal complacency....... until Ft. Hood. Has Nidal Hasan changed the Democrats view on soft policies in battling terrorism propogated by Islamic extremism? Certainly, Democrats have adjusted their glasses and limited the consumption of their Hope and Change Kool-aid, but don't expect to hear this from them. Conceding the truth of Hasan's premeditated terrorist act clearly exacts the truth from behind the shadows of the Democrats' proxy war against Bush's intention to protect this nation from violence borne from the scourges in Islamic society. In short, future books written on the history of American resistance to acts of terrorism are likely to relate that Bush and Cheney were correct. Obama could learn from his predecessors if he is willing to exchange his power trip for an honest concern for national defense.
- So what of "fear mongering"? Who are the actual fear mongerers? A look at recent history reveals that Democrats labeled Bush as a "fear mongerer". Democrats used the Republican fear mongering phrase to scare voters away from voting Republican in the 2006 Congressional elections and the 2008 Congressional and presidential elections. Democrats claim that Republicans sacrifice the middle class in favor of the wealthy - classic Democrat fear mongering against Republicans. Democrats use healthcare as a crutch to scare voters into voting against Republicans - "Those Republicans want Americans to die so that pharmaceutical companies can turn a profit" - even more fear mongering...... Democrats used the issue of Social Security privatization as a tactic against Republicans - "The Republicans want to squander away your retirement in the Stock Market so that Wall Street traders can get richer while retirees starve to death" - fear monger much? The problem faced by our nation is that Democrat voters fail to understand the issues facing this nation. Democratic politicians further exacerbate the ignorance of Democratic-leaning voters by using catchy nightmare scenarios against political adversaries for the sake of securing votes. Forget the fact that Democrat politicians use bold lies for political expediancy, political campaigning is a mere means to an end for liberal politicians and the end result (winning an election), certainly justifies the means to determined Saul Alinsky pupils such as President Obama.
- Did you notice that the issue of racism permeates our society? While racism, race wars, and race baiting rears it's ugly head as a plague of extreme proportions on the landscape of overt fear mongering and division, an oft considered cynacism in our society demonstrates racism in the loudest, and also, the most innocous forms. Sadly, Americans cry "racism" as a smokescreen for the promotion of personal agendas - often, those whom claim to seek social inclusion, equality, and diversity can be the most divisive. And the stark accusation of racism is easy in even the most subtle form. For example, imagine the following: Did you notice that 99% of Tea-Party particpants are white? What does this mean? Race based preferences toward John McCain in 2008 indicate exit polling data tilted heavily toward older, white voters. Equally as interesting, did you notice that 99% percent of black voters voted for Obama? What does this mean? Moreover, if 67% of the Latino vote went to Obama and 30% went to McCain, while the remaining Latinos voted for Pedro, does this mean that Hispanics vote 2/3 of the time on race-based immigration issues? The asian vote tallied 62% of the vote for Obama compared to 35% for McCain. Now here's the compelling part, Arab-Americans voted 54% for Obama and 33% for McCain, indicating the smallest racial divide of the aforementioned racial groups. While Arab Americans seem to be an ostracized minority, polling data indicates that Arab Americans might exhibit the smallest racial undertones.... While this is not really a strong indicator of the true state of racism in this nation, the argument may be strong enough to make you say "uhhhhhh".
- One of the most insulting forms of fear mongering used by liberals is the issue of "global warming." Not just the notion of "global warming," but the implication of "man-made global warming." Shiver me timbers, but the fear of humanity is simply overwhelming, isn't it? While capitalism is the supposed bane of the wacky right-wingers, U.S. federal subsidies drive the bandwagon of global research organizations whom are financially encouraged to promote the hypothesis of man-made global warming. Do not misconstrue the notion that federal subsidies are the sole driving force behind the global warming scheme; capitalism has certainly turned Al Gore's Academy Award into pure gold. Scientific research organizations reap the rewards of the subsidy charade, and the result of skewed climate history and forecasting is mere collateral damage to the profit motives of global warmers. Democrats ignore the data and research of dissent against the money-making postulation of global warming. Thus far, scientists have yet to reach a clear concensus on whether we are cooling down or heating up - should I buy more shorts or jackets? The only clear fact is that the Democratic party envisions a sure-fire government revenue jackpot from the fear brought by myths generated by global warming. While Democrats know of the certain economic disaster that will ensue by an enaction of Cap and Trade legislation, a greater agenda of the Democratic party is revealed - the party of "the poor and middle class" care little about the calamity brought to Americans who are unable to afford dramatically increased energy costs caused by the "trade" of cap and trade. For a clearer wake-up call on global warming and the activism of federal mandates, read this whole article eight or ten times and let it sink in....
- Perhaps the funniest fear mongering tactic used by liberals is the attack and smear campaign of liberals against any person whom represents a danger to the continued power grab of maniacal Democrats in office. The GOP views Sarah Palin as a fresh face in the midst of political crooks, liars, and moonbats. The Democrats view Sarah Palin as the most dangerous adversary against the Democrats pledge to rake Constitutionality and liberty over the coals. Interestingly, although Sarah Palin is no longer in public office, Democrats hold a fear of Palin that is not only nuerotic, but also hillarious. Have you noticed how everytime Sarah Palin makes the news there always seems to be a "Fact Check" article waiting in the wings to protect the Democrat's socialist interests?
- The liberals say "but neocons use fear mongering to label Obama as a 'socialist'". What does it mean when European socialists believe that Obama is too socialist?
- ...... and then liberals argue that conservatives blame Obama for everything that is wrong in this nation, notably the economy and unemployment. They then babble unintelligently that "this is not Obama's economy, he inherited it..." To the contrary, Obama accepted the economy with open arms back in July. The disaster that is the American economy is all Obama.
- and I heard him exclaim as he rode out of sight, "happy fear mongering to all, and to all a good night!"

Common Sense has left the buil
- From: nonnie

Description:
Common Sense packed its bags and left the country and possibly the earth. Souces say they have looked everywhere and CS is no where to be found. It didnt leave a note or call anyone before leaving, just up and gone. It had once lived in our Nations capital but there isnt even a photo of it left.It has been reported that there are many trying to mock the once very popular Common Sense, but none have been able to even resemble CS. Before its disappearing act it had been beat up and mocked and even ridaculed.
It did leave its mark on the common folk who now are called teabggers or conservatives, and these are trying hard to carry on the family tradition only to be attacked by the same people that ran common sense out of town. If anyone has seen CS please dont call the law as they seem to have a very different view on how to proceed with life.
Reports say CS is hiding in the Conservative group and will spring out soon to reclaim the nation. With the harsh attacks on CS its hard to say when it will show itself again. Some of the tale tale signs of its departure are stories like Obama elected as president and Goverment to take over healthcare and Terrorist to be given Americans Constitutional rights, just to name a few. "We are looking everywhere an undisclosed source was qouted as saying, but we just cant find CS.
There were some moments there where we thought we saw it but it was a faults alert. If you see or hear it please treat it with kid gloves as it is very much needed!!!
Common Sense please come back we need you sooo much please we wont make it very long without you. We (some of us) love you and are waiting for your popular return.

Politically Incorrect.... wack
- From: daniel_b
-
Description:
A lot going on and very little time to cuss and discuss. The art of being obnoxious isn't easy - a timeless practice of being politically incorrect and sharing the painful truth with those who would rather not hear it. Sometimes you wing it; sometimes you shoot from the hip - better to leave that to Bill Clinton though...
- As some of you know, I really enjoy listening to Thom Hartmann. Some people enjoy Rush Limbaugh. Some enjoy Sean Hannity. I listen to Thom - a socialist leaning, far leftist, liberal-to-the-bone progressive. Hartmann is so far left that he isn't even Democrat. He could be better described as Stalin's mentally challenged love child - not too smart, but dangerous enough to be entertaining. I knew Hartmann would do it, and he didn't prove me wrong - Hartmann concluded that George Bush is at fault for the massacre in Ft. Hood! Hartmann's claim is that Bush caused the Ft. Hood terrorist attack by proclaiming war on Islamic terrorism and the divisions caused by Bush's "overreaction" to 9/11 divided the world to the point that Major Hasan just simply snapped. Furthermore, Hartmann claimed that if Bush had followed the Clinton playbook on dealing with terrorism, that we would live euphorically in our whimsical utopia. For those of you whom need a refresher - Clinton's reaction to terrorism was: identify a suspect, refer to that suspect as a criminal, walk away, play with interns, The End.
Question: How would Clinton's policies have stopped 9/11? Oh wait... They didn't.....
- Lets break into blog comments. Here's an exerpt: "Last time I checked, they're not taking over anything, they're reforming it for the better (healthcare and the government's role). Ah.... to be young and naive... Educate thine self.
- Did anyone catch on to the fact that Obama had finally made up his mind last week - he made a decision all by himself; well.... not really. Apparently, Obama was set to announce his decision on whether he would or would not increase troop levels in Afghanistan. White House insiders confirmed that Obama had finally made up his mind. What a wonderful day for America! This was last week. And then the terrorist attack in Ft. Hood occured. Suddenly, retractions were announced and White House staffers vehemently denied that Obama had made up his mind (the public would certainly believe that!). Interestingly, Obama reversed his announcement at the same time that an Islamic extremist infiltrated the U.S. military and killed U.S. soldiers on U.S. soil.
Question: What does this tell you about the decision that Obama had planned to announce? Why are we hearing of a sudden, new strategy after the fact?
- If Obama had still failed to reach a decision on Afghanistan, as reported by Robert Gibbs, then perhaps President Obama is clearly not prepared to serve as commander in chief.
Question: If Obama receives that dreaded "2 AM" wake up call, how much trouble are Americans in if their president can't make a decision?
- Another comment exerpt: "How many people have died because the insurance companies refused to cover a surgery or because they couldn't get to a doctor in time? Well? Answer the question."
Answer: Considering that it is illegal for emergency rooms to turn patients away, the answer is very few. Why don't you tell us though. Well, answer the question! The Institute of Medicine, you probably know them as that "bipartisan" research group that donated to Obama's presidential campaign, issued a 2002 report that claims 18,000 people each year die from lack of insurance. If you believe a far reaching blanket statement without anecdotal evidence, then believe as you wish- we could raise the number to 5 million if it eases your desire for government dependance. The critical thinking side of me takes over my ability to immediately believe the report without any evidentiary support, and unfortunately, I have never viewed any of the case studies behind this report - they don't seem to be available... Provocatively though, the IOM also concludes that patients with Medicaid fare far worse than patients with NO insurance. And you want government healthcare? For your entertainment though, the World Socialist Website published the report that I'm discussing. Considering the source, I'm sure you've already heard of this....
- What do Conservatives and mountain pine beetles have in common? Neither has followed the liberal concensus on global warming. Liberals have found their new global warming scapegoat - those little pine beetle bastards who just eat everything in sight, and apparently, refuse to hibernate. Republicans went into hibernation in 2006, but the pine beetle continues to give Al Gore the ammunition to collect more money for the religion of environmental extremism. The hippies have been assembled. Green Earthers are dry humping California redwoods. The protesters are throwing on their battle gear. But wait! Not all tree huggers have got the memo and a few treason environmentalists have been questioning the status quo of fundamentalist tree huggers.
Question: Will environmentalists start an inquisition against fellow heretics whom have the nerve to question Mother Earth?
- Have you ever wondered what the future will hold for our nation if Democrats stay in power? ......... oh come on, I'm just kidding, sorta.....

Gun Rights
- From: OrionStarAblaze
-
Description:
Now, I don't agree with Conservatives on much - but I agree wholeheartedly with the gun rights issue.
Let's be honest. This is a cold, mad, capricious world - and it's getting worse by the day. You see the reminders every day on the news and in those archaic things we call "newspapers." Hell, when I came to this site just a few minutes ago, the first story was a man shot in a home invasion. We need the means to protect ourselves from such perversion and danger, and it's granted to us by the Second Amendment.
So why, not too long ago, did Washington, D.C. try to ban guns in civilian homes? Isn't the Constitution pretty clear? We have the right to bear arms, and we will adhere to that right accordingly. Unfortunately, as with many other situations, the few idiotic ruin it for the mindful majority who use their guns for lawful, justified reasons.
Leave guns alone.

Threat From Within GOP
- From: Timeonhands
-
Description:
I repost an appeal from Tom Tancredo who warns conservatives that the RNC works to exclude grassroots conservatives from the process of selecting conservative candidiates. The RNC strategy is a formula for disaster, because conservative Americans, Democrat and Republican, are becoming engaged at the grassroots level, educating themselves and participating in activism like the TEA Parties.
Case in point: the Florida US Senate GOP race where the RNC 'anointed' RINO Charie Crist, but the PEOPLE, grassroots conservatives, are going to elect a true conservative, Marco Rubio. In a radio interview, Glenn Beck remarked to Rubio that the RNC, "the last time I looked" has all the money. Rubio thoughtfully replied, "Yes, but the last time I looked, we (conservatives) have all the votes."
I must tell you that we face a very serious threat to our goal of reversing open borders policies by electing men and women to office who will fight for our national sovereignty and for economic policies that will keep jobs here in America. This threat doesn't come from Barack Obama and the Democrats.
This time the threat is coming from within the Republican Party and its pro-open borders Establishment.
I am a Republican. Every office I ever sought, from the Colorado legislature to the U.S. House of Representatives to the presidency, I proudly sought as a Republican.
But I believe in a Republican Party that stands for the rule of law and stands up for American citizens . . . not in a party that sells our country out to the highest bidder, ships our jobs overseas and supports the same open border policies that the Democrats do!
I am writing to you today with a special sense of urgency, because the Republican establishment is trying to clear the field of grassroots conservative candidates and to anoint their own favorites, months ahead of the first Republican primary, as the inevitable Republican nominees for both state and federal offices.
Incredible as it seems, the establishment Republicans that run groups like the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) would rather get behind an almost certain general election loser like open-borders Republican Rob Portman than let a grassroots conservative like Tom Ganley win the GOP nomination.
And the situation in Ohio is being repeated in other states, including Florida and my own home state of Colorado.
My friend, we cannot let this moment of genuine conservative resurgence be co-opted by the same Republicans who drove our Party into the ditch during the last Republican administration and the last Republican-controlled Congress!
This is our moment to reclaim the Republican Party on behalf of conservative principles and create a powerful Party platform from which we can offer the American people clear alternatives to Barack Obama and the Democrats:
- a real choice between open-borders and secure-the-borders policies;
- a real choice between amnesty for illegals and no amnesty for illegals; and
- a real choice between trade deals that sell out American workers or trade deals that keep jobs for Americans in America!
Conservatives constantly reach out to me and Team America co-chair, Bay Buchanan, looking for help and advice (recently including two former GOP congressmen who are with us 100% on immigration reform and jobs issues). We are happy to travel and help them in any way we can.
But what populist GOP candidates really need right now is financial support.
Team America endorses candidates based on their commitment to core conservative issues like border security and immigration enforcement that protects American jobs, property, and communities. We give financial help to candidates based on their understanding of the threat Washington is to this nation and their willingness to fight to defend and preserve this great country, not on their adherence to the agenda of the corporate elites.
Your most generous gift today -- of $50, $100, or even $500 -- would be a huge help to us as we help patriotic conservatives reclaim the Republican Party and stand firm against the pro-amnesty, pro-open borders agenda of the party establishment.
You are a great supporter of Team America. Bay Buchanan and I know you are a special friend of our cause, and we know that you will help us if you possibly can.
We have it in our power now to finally unleash the GOP from the control of its establishment and offer voters a real choice on illegal immigration, one-sided trade deals and national sovereignty.
But we must first give conservative candidates our financial help. We cannot let good candidates be marginalized by the GOP establishment for lack of funds!
I deeply hope that you will stand with me, Bay Buchanan and Team America in support of the courageous conservatives who are taking up our cause and running for office. Thank you in advance for helping us at this critical time!
Sincerely,

Tom TancredoP.S. The GOP elite is literally moving heaven and earth to shut down primary challenges to their anointed candidates from conservative Republicans. This really is the time that Team America's support can help patriotic conservatives win big victories for our cause and our nation. I urge you to help us with your best gift as soon as you possibly can! Thank you, again, for your support and your friendship.

"Dismantling America
- From: chardoney

Description:
"Dismantling America
By Thomas Sowell
http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | Just one year ago, would you have believed that an unelected government official, not even a Cabinet member confirmed by the Senate but simply one of the many "czars" appointed by the President, could arbitrarily cut the pay of executives in private businesses by 50 percent or 90 percent? (who? Conservatives, who warned America)
Did you think that another "czar" would be talking about restricting talk radio? (yes) That there would be plans afloat to subsidize newspapers — that is, to create a situation where some newspapers' survival would depend on the government liking what they publish? (yes!)Did you imagine that anyone would even be talking about having a panel of so-called "experts" deciding who could and could not get life-saving medical treatments?
Scary as that is from a medical standpoint, it is also chilling from the standpoint of freedom. If you have a mother who needs a heart operation or a child with some dire medical condition, how free would you feel to speak out against an administration that has the power to make life and death decisions about your loved ones?
Does any of this sound like America? How about a federal agency giving school children material to enlist them on the side of the president? Merely being assigned to sing his praises in class is apparently not enough.
How much of America would be left if the federal government continued on this path? President Obama has already floated the idea of a national police force, something we have done without for more than two centuries.
We already have local police forces all across the country and military forces for national defense, as well as the FBI for federal crimes and the National Guard for local emergencies. What would be the role of a national police force created by Barack Obama, with all its leaders appointed by him? It would seem more like the brown shirts of dictators than like anything American. How far the President will go depends of course on how much resistance he meets. But the direction in which he is trying to go tells us more than all his rhetoric or media spin.
Barack Obama has not only said that he is out to "change the United States of America," the people he has been associated with for years have expressed in words and deeds their hostility to the values, the principles and the people of this country.Jeremiah Wright said it with words: "God d**n America!" Bill Ayers said it with bombs that he planted. Community activist goons have said it with their contempt for the rights of other people.
Among the people appointed as czars by President Obama have been people who have praised enemy dictators like Mao, who have seen the public schools as places to promote sexual practices contrary to the values of most Americans, to a captive audience of children.
Those who say that the Obama administration should have investigated those people more thoroughly before appointing them are missing the point completely. Why should we assume that Barack Obama didn't know what such people were like, when he has been associating with precisely these kinds of people for decades before he reached the White House?Nothing is more consistent with his lifelong patterns than putting such people in government — people who reject American values, resent Americans in general and successful Americans in particular, as well as resenting America's influence in the world.
Any miscalculation on his part would be in not thinking that others would discover what these stealth appointees were like. Had it not been for the Fox News Channel, these stealth appointees might have remained unexposed for what they are. Fox News is now high on the administration's enemies list.
Nothing so epitomizes President Obama's own contempt for American values and traditions like trying to ram two bills through Congress in his first year — each bill more than a thousand pages long — too fast for either of them to be read, much less discussed. That he succeeded only the first time says that some people are starting to wake up. Whether enough people will wake up in time to keep America from being dismantled, piece by piece, is another question — and the biggest question for this generation"

Just my thoughts
- From: donspoliticalblogdal

Description:
After a couple of weeks off I find that I can’t ignore what’s happening anymore and must speak out. It was bad enough that the Nobel committee is trying to influence our countries politics with that ridiculous award to the President for his first two weeks in office. That’s right, two weeks is all he was in office at the time the nominations were made. Reagan was responsible for the real peace in this world and they in this liberal bastion of socialism (Norway) turned their noses up at him. Real peace comes through strength and preparedness not words and apologies. Look at the list of recipients and you will find a who’s who of the liberal world including Carter and Gore. Arafat was a dedicated terrorist who never apologized but received the peace prize for shaking hands with Begin of Israel. Whose next
Kim Jong Il of Korea?
As time progresses I hope you diehard Obama fans and Pelosi and Reid lovers watch your heating and electric bills, maybe then you will start to understand why we conservatives were against Cap and Trade. The way it’s designed is to not show an effect until after the 2010 elections but watch out after that. Eventually even you will grow tired of the total government control over all things, hopefully it won’t be too late when your epiphany comes to you, as we can use all the help we can get to bring our country back to the center. As so many smugly sit back and think that all is well with the world the rest of us will continue to fight for your rights as well as our own.
The situation with health care is the height of political arrogance. The people have spoken yet the so Called representatives of the people have ignored them completely. We all want a better system for health care but who in their right mind thinks the government should be in charge of it. Wouldn’t it be better to fix Social Security and Medicare first? This rush to get it done is all a politically motivated scenario designed to split America into factions. The President got elected by doing just that and has never stopped campaigning. Health care reform should be separated into parts and each part examined carefully and completely. It should include Tort reform and should be written in plain English so we all can read and understand what’s in it. A mistake of this magnitude could destroy what’s left of our fragile economy, and leave us with nothing but a socialist nightmare. I propose that we demand that whatever program the Congress comes up with, all Federal Employees have to join us in the mix, including our illustrious representatives in the Senate and House. They should also be required to include themselves in the Social Security program instead of the blue chip retirement they have made
for themselves. Guess how fast Social Security would be fixed if that were the case.
The things that I have proposed here are not impossible, it is up to us to demand action or get rid of the entire bunch in 2010. Like our forefathers, we have to exercise our rights or be forever beholding to the elitists who think they are in control. - Blog post

Church and State

Description:style="background-color: #ffff00;"
When I say something like "abortion should not be funded by the federal government" I am accused of wanting to merge church and state. Nothing could be further from the truth - I want church and state separate - and that includes forcing people to waste what God has given them by pouring tax money into failed big government programs. The government is there to protect us from foreign invaders (and other enumerated powers) but that's it. Well, not according to House Democratic Whip James Clyburn (D-SC). Here are some excerpts from a telling interview, along with my commentary:
What do you say to religious conservatives who argue that those kind of biblical exhortations are directed at individuals, not the government?
What is the government if it's not individuals acting collectively on behalf of the common good? That's what we are. So I would not argue with that point. I would agree.
Okay, so the government thinks they should take our money and use it for God? Scuse me? What about individuals who aren't religious? What about individuals who would prefer to give their tithes to entities that are far better run?
Do you worry that Democratic concerns over abortion coverage can derail healthcare reform?
Oh, no, no. Those concerns will be resolved . . . . We have to just make sure that everybody feels comfortable.
How do you do that when one side claims the bill is abortion neutral and the other side says it includes an "abortion mandate" and federally funded abortions?
I'm going to let Rosa DeLauro make that pronouncement when she's comfortable doing it.
Is abortion "above his paygrade"? What if I'm not comfortable paying for abortions? I'm somebody... In fact, I would move to wager that probably half the country would not choose to pay for an abortion. If someone came to your door and said "I don't want this baby" or "I can't afford a baby - please pay for me to have an abortion". What would you say? I would offer to keep the baby, take the person in, feed and clothe them if I could afford to. Would anyone else do the same? Or would you say "sure, here's some cash, kill that little baby quick!"
Too many rights are being taken away from individuals and placed in the hands of a bunch of lawyers or snotty intellectuals. We need to watch for people who think not only do they know how to handle our money, but they are doing it for God.
Scary stuff folks.

A Rhetorical Post
- From: Bugs
-
Description:
I have some questions for the outspoken conservatives in the group.
What if the Iraq War ends and America wins the war in Afghanistan?
What if the economy recovers and unemployment drops?
What if healthcare reform creates a healthier population, leads to fewer welfare recipients, and reduces the number of emergency room visits for non-emergent care?
What if our nation doesn’t become a socialistic Marxist country?
What if immigration reform does more good for America than harm?
What if your taxes don’t go up any higher than they were before the Bush tax cuts?
What if Michelle Obama never misspeaks again?
What if President Obama succeeds in making our country a better place to live?
Will anyone drop the hate and give President Obama the credit he deserves? I’m just wondering. Is there anything, in your eyes, President Obama can do right?
I truly am trying to understand your mindsets. When I post responses which discredit false information, most people ignore the response and bring up yet another unsubstantiated blunder of President Obama. A day later, or even the same day, someone will inevitably post the same unfounded lie which someone previously proved to be incorrect. What’s up with that?
Because of Bush policies, I was anti-Bush, but when he spoke of hunting down Osama bin Laden I supported him. When former president Bush tried pushing his version of immigration reform through Congress, I acknowledge his efforts.
President Obama has already sided with Republicans on at least one issue. Many Democrats are criticizing President Obama for being too conservative. Does that make President Obama less of a threat?
I’ve always been willing to give credit where credit is due. Are you? If not, then the truth means nothing to you. Am I right?
I’m just trying to understand all the hate. Maybe that’s part of my problem. I’ve never understood blind hatred towards someone or something. When someone points out an error in my train of thought, I’m appreciative. When I wrongfully accused Sarah Palin’s husband of being investigated, I admitted I made an error.
My experience has been most right wingers absolutely refuse to acknowledge when they’ve been wrong. I refuse to stand behind Democrats when I don’t agree with their agenda. Is refusing to admit when you’re wrong a part of being a Republican? Perhaps that’s the biggest weakness of the Democratic Party. We admit when we’re wrong and even change course at times. Republicans, to me, seem unwilling to change their views on an issue even if they are wrong; they “stay the course” no matter where that course may lead us.
If I’m wrong, tell me where I’m wrong. I’ve gotten to know some of you rather well. I know most of you are smart so what’s the deal with acting deaf to facts and truths? Let’s say I was riding the fence on deciding which party to support. Do you think I would support a party which thrives on false information or a party which deals in facts? Can you not see how conservative propaganda and rhetoric harms the Republican Party?
Since I don’t really expect answers to my questions, I guess this is a rhetorical post.

CSN, a known a right wing propaganda outlet, recently reported there would be a reduction of 384 border patrol agents. The news was swallowed hook, line, and sinker by right wingers. Other right wing media sources posted stories referencing the CSN report; right wing bloggers across America posted the information as fact.
For several days I searched for creditable information either proving or discrediting this claim. The only worthy reference was this story by “The Arizona Daily Star”.
“There'll be no decrease in the number of U.S. Border Patrol agents on the Southwest border when the new fiscal year starts next week, but the Department of Homeland Security acknowledged that it is trying to add agents along the border with Canada.” The Arizona Daily Star
This “doubting Thomas” needed than more than one source and official reputable information on the subject.
Days passed and there was still no newsworthy information on the alleged reduction in border patrol agents. This is the kind of information FOX National and Glenn Beck hop on like a frog on a lily pad. Nope, nothing was said about the alleged border patrol cuts.
Finally, I got the information I needed.
“Matt Chandler, acting deputy press secretary for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, told the Herald/Review that Easterling’s information was not correct.” The Herald, Sierra Vista
As a matter of fact, since January border patrol agents have been increased from 16,090 to 17,425. Under President Obama’s watch, the border patrol has added 1,335 agents.
The Obama administration plans to increase the number of agents on the Canadian border which might result in fewer boarder patrol agents along the United State’s southern border. There is no indication such a cut in border patrol agents will take place, but if border patrol agents are moved from the southern boarder of the United States to the northern border, those agents will be transferred from areas which are considered secured.
In either case the reports and blogs claiming a cut of 384 border patrol agents are completely false.
Whether the information has any substance or not conservatives love jumping on any information which portrays Democrats or President Obama in a bad light. Fortunately most of the information has no factual basis or is at best a distortion of the truth.
When right wingers heard the wrongfully reported news of border patrol cuts there was a loud outcry against the alleged cuts. After the information was discredited the right wingers tried spinning the information their direction.
“Glenn Spencer, president of American Border Patrol, a nongovernmental organization, said he believes the first reports were correct and that a negative public reaction prompted the Department of Homeland Security to change its story.
‘In other words, the DHS was making decisions as to manpower requirements based on public opinion, not sound management practices,’ he said.” The Herald, Sierra VistaIf the Obama administration does make an unpopular decision and public outcry causes President Obama to change his stance, he will still be wrong.
Don’t right wingers get anything right? Can’t they see how hypocritical they are? Aren’t they ever ashamed or embarrassed for believing every word they hear whether the information has merit or not?

Conservatives and the Constitu
- From: Bugs
-
Description:
From the moment the Republicans lost their grip on power they’ve been championing themselves as great defenders of the Constitution and spreading lies about the Democrats’ plans to violate the Constitution.
As with most of the propaganda and untruths spread by the right, they don’t address their own shortcomings. Conservatives make no secret of their wishes to violate the precious document which our country has been built upon. The demonstrations dubbed as “tea parties” are nothing less than racially motivated demonstrations against our Constitution and our constitutional democracy. Conservative aren’t happy with the election results so they are spending a great deal of time, effort, and money to undermine and slander our duly elected president.
Here’s a list of constitutional violations which the conservatives make no secret of wanting to commit against the Constitution.
1. Conservatives want to make unconstitutional laws withholding equal rights from a select group of people based on sex and race. Examples are gay rights and laws such as the immigration laws Farmer’s Branch attempted to impose.
2. Conservatives want to reach beyond the first amendment to mingle church and state by interpreting what the amendment actually means. Examples are banning abortions and wanting prayer in schools.
3. Conservatives refuse to reach beyond the second amendment in reference to the right to bear arms. The words clearly state the amendment was specifically added for the purpose of a militia. Modern militias are what armed Islamic sects call themselves. Examples are fighting stricter handgun laws and the ban on automatic weapons.
And
4. They want to violate the constitutionally mandated census which requires everyone be counted regardless of legal status. Conservatives do not want illegal immigrants to be counted in the census.
So much for the great defenders of the constitution; can we say hypocrites?

Why were there not any African
- From: tiredofusernames

Description:
This is a rebuttal of formerGOP.
Why were there no African-Americans at the tea parties? Could it be that a) 99.9 % of African-Americans (living or dead) voted for Obama. b) they totally agree with all of his polices no matter how bad they are. c) or could it be that they maybe, wait for it, are racist and do not want to hang out with white people. African-Americans could easy join these tea parties. All they would have to do is go online, or read the newspapers to see where these rallies are. See how ridiculous this argument is?
And for this person to say that Sean and Russ are the mouthpiece of all conservatives is asinine. The same could be said that Rachel Maddow (gag), Keith Olbermann, The Ed show (loudmouth), Chris Matthews (dumb loudmouth) are the mouthpiece of the liberals. The liberals on these blogs sure do like to act and quote from them.
In Obama's own writings has stated he is a socialist. Not to mention Dream of my father where he admitted to cocaine and pot use. Which I believe he still partakes. Liberals sure love their drugs.
Ex post facto, generalizations and innuendos does nothing but divide the nation and that is what these politicians want. Democrats say Republicans use fear to gain votes. Well the same could be said about Democrats. Exempli gratia, the health care reform. The Democrats say if it does not pass we will die. The stimulus bill. Again if it does not pass we will hit the Great Depression and die. The list goes on and on.

Where Conservatives Fall Short
- From: Bugs
-
Description:
Since fall is upon us I thought I’d point out a few, there are many, many more, areas where conservatives fall short.
1. President Obama speaks about global warming to the UN and conservatives look out their windows and say, “It ain’t no warmer here; daha.”
Where conservatives fall short is they don’t bother monitoring glacial melt down, or the rising of the oceans swallowing inhabited islands, or listen to the tens of thousands of scientists who have irrefutable evidence global warming is real. Even former president Bush, along with other world leaders, acknowledges global warming is real.
Conservatives look out their windows and they know everything there is to know about global warming.
2. President Obama speaks of a global economy and the conservatives start comparing him, which of course is nothing new for the uninformed and less educated citizens of our country, to Hitler.
Where conservatives fall short is they fail to realize we are already part of a global economy. When former president Bush sent America’s economy down the tubes, markets around the world plummeted. The Republican’s destruction of our nation forced other countries to take extreme measures to save their own economies. Former president Bush’s economic screw ups triggered a world wide chain reaction which clearly proves we are already part of a global economy.
President Obama merely wants to strengthen what already exists.
3. As if this was news, new and scandalous, conservatives spin President Obama’s $7,000 a night stay at the Waldorf into being extravagant, out of the ordinary, or outrages. LOL
Where the conservatives fall short is the FACT the Waldorf’s history with presidents goes back to 1931. Since that time the Waldorf’s presidential suite has been EVERY president’s home away from home while staying in New York
That statement is worth repeating. EVERY SINGLE president since 1931, including Reagan and both Bush’s, has stayed in the Waldorf’s presidential suite while they were in New York
Here’s a link to a story about the Waldorf’s long history with American Presidents: http://abcnews.go.com/Travel/president-obama-stays-waldorf-astoria-united-nations-general/Story?id=8634407&page=2
Perhaps conservatives don't feel as if President Obama deserves the same accommodations as every other president received.
Three strikes and conservatives still don’t understand why they fall short in every aspect of politics. Strike one is when conservatives don’t believe the truth they make up their own truths. Strike two is conservatives believe making something better is wrong. The third strike is the strike conservatives have developed quite nicely; conservatives love spinning nothing into something.
The biggest area where conservatives fall short is they fall short of having enough power to do anything but sit and spin and if they keep blowing smoke in the wind, they will never regain power. Keep up the good work!

Description:While some criticism targeting President Obama is racially motivated, another left wing racist statement the fight over health care isn't Former President Bill Clinton told CNN Monday. Can’t even start a though without race entering into it. Former, sure wish he would slither back to the hills of Arkansas."I believe that some of the right-wing extremists which oppose President Obama are also racially prejudiced and would prefer not to have an African-American president," Hang in there you racist doufus. Clinton told CNN's Larry King in a wide-ranging interview aired Monday evening. Even though he knows nothing about sex there is a ray of hope or someone else wrote the following. "But I don't believe that all the people who oppose him on health care -- and all the conservatives -- are racists. And I believe if he were white, every single person who opposes him now, would be opposing him then." Do formers have speech writers?I wish someone would run a poll on conservatives and liberals A TRUE, HONEST POLL, I would like to see a percentage of which comes up with the raciest, the most extremist, the most zealots etc.Oh yeah Val…………. Liberals Twist Sarcastic Rush
- From: chardoney

Description:Dunces, Dupes and Dunderheads,You have every right to make fools of yourselves, in fact, honestly, the conservatives count on it. In particular, Mr. Limbaugh, you has made the libs look like the jabbering magpies for decades, as they intentionally misquote, misrepresent, twist, distort and downright lie about what he says. It bring great amusement to him and listeners alike, so pleeeease, don't stop!Liberals Twist Sarcastic Rush Riff into a Call for Segregated Buses!RUSH: During the break Mr. Snerdley showed me a website that a friend of his had alerted him to. Apparently it has taken hold out there that when discussing Obama's America as it relates to the school bus incident -- where was that? That was in Belleville, right? Belleville, Illinois -- playing off the Newsweek story of, you know, all white kids are born racists. I did a whole routine here on, "Well, maybe we need to segregate the buses and so forth," in a joking fashion. And this guy at the Southern Poverty Law Center, this Mark Plotkin... Is that his name? What...? Mark Potok. Mark Potok says that I want segregate buses! We're going to get to what he said and what I said but I want to preface it or precede it with Howard Dean last night on MSNBC. He was asked if he shares Pelosi's concerns over the wave of violence we all know is just waiting to break out. . . .RUSH: There you have it. (laughing) Dr. Howard Dean, the former leader of the Democrat National Committee. See, they're setting this up. They've been desiring to write this story for 18 or 19 years now. They do it. Even when it's not true, they write it. "Limbaugh! Limbaugh inspires violence, angry white men." Yeah, to oppose health care, not only is it racist now, it's unpatriotic to oppose socialized medicine. (laughing) These people are kooks. They're nuts. Now let's go to this Potok kook. This guy is a genuine, off-the-wall lunatic. He's at the Southern Poverty Law Center. He was on Hardboiled last night with Chris Matthews. And this guy Potok is an embarrassment of a human being. He's claiming that I actually want segregation on buses. (laughing) Matthews said, "What is it in the atmosphere allows a person to feel comfortable showing up at a political event carrying a gun? Maybe two guns, letting people know they're armed? What is it in the atmosphere that let's a person bring a sign that compares the president to an animal or to a Nazi?" Chris, Pelosi got the Nazi thing going, dude! "What is it that makes them feel comfortable doing that kind of crap in public, Mark? I wonder if it isn't the atmosphere of language that's being used today. Your thoughts, sir, Mark Potok?"
POTOK: Yesterday Rush Limbaugh was on the air talking about an incident in which black kids attacked a white kid on a school bus, an incident the police said was not racially motivated and saying that what we need are segregated buses -- that this is the only way, I suppose, that white people can be protected from black people. I think when we have characters like Limbaugh saying that on the air to millions of Americans, many of whom actually revere the man, you know, it's not surprising that people feel that, uh, you know, the race wars around the corner and that, uh, we're allowed to say these kinds of things.
RUSH: It's incredible. (laughing) This whole race tumult is being orchestrated and run out of the White House straight out of Rahm Emanuel and Axelrod's office. They are promoting it; they are encouraging it. Isn't it amazing? You have black kids who beat up a white kid on a school bus. That's not racism. You have half the country criticizing a socialist health care plan, and that is racism. Okay, so you there heard this despicable embarrassment of a human being, Mark Potok, from the Southern Poverty Law Center's Intelligence Project. Now, here's the comment I made in context, in response to a caller, obviously not a call for segregation.(entire transcript here) http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_091809/content/01125112.guest.html - Blog post

E tu, Dubya?
- From: TexasInfidel
-
Description:
That's it. I've stood up for him - "even if I don't agree with him, he's a good man" I have said - no more. Dubya arrogantly bragged about redefining the Republican party (not exactly working out well for us conservatives now) and said there was no conservative movement. Not to mention rippin' on my homegirl.
See below:
“What is this movement you keep talking about in the speech?” the president asked Latimer.
Latimer explained that he meant the conservative movement — the movement that gave rise to groups like CPAC.
Bush seemed perplexed. Latimer elaborated a bit more. Then Bush leaned forward, with a point to make.
“Let me tell you something,” the president said. “I whupped Gary Bauer’s ass in 2000. So take out all this movement stuff. There is no movement.”
Bush seemed to equate the conservative movement — the astonishing growth of conservative political strength that took place in the decades after Barry Goldwater’s disastrous defeat in 1964 — with the fortunes of Bauer, the evangelical Christian activist and former head of the Family Research Council whose 2000 presidential campaign went nowhere.
Now it was Latimer who looked perplexed. Bush tried to explain.
“Look, I know this probably sounds arrogant to say,” the president said, “but I redefined the Republican Party.”
Yeah you did. You redefined it by robbing us of our fiscal conservatism with your bailouts. How's that workin' out for us now? Not too good.
Update: Well, if those quotes didn’t endear Bush to the Right, these about Sarah Palin will offer even more offense:
“I’m trying to remember if I’ve met her before. I’m sure I must have.” His eyes twinkled, then he asked, “What is she, the governor of Guam?”
Everyone in the room seemed to look at him in horror, their mouths agape. When Ed told him that conservatives were greeting the choice enthusiastically, he replied, “Look, I’m a team player, I’m on board.” He thought about it for a minute. “She’s interesting,” he said again. “You know, just wait a few days until the bloom is off the rose.” Then he made a very smart assessment.
“This woman is being put into a position she is not even remotely prepared for,” he said. “She hasn’t spent one day on the national level. Neither has her family. Let’s wait and see how she looks five days out.”
On the other hand, conservatives might agree with Bush about John McCain:
I was once in the Oval Office when the president was told a campaign event in Phoenix he was to attend with McCain suddenly had to be closed to the press…
“If he doesn’t want me to go, fine,” the president said. “I’ve got better things to do.”
Eventually, someone informed the president that the reason the event was closed was that McCain was having trouble getting a crowd. Bush was incredulous—and to the point. “He can’t get 500 people to show up for an event in his hometown?” he asked. No one said anything, and we went on to another topic. But the president couldn’t let the matter drop. “He couldn’t get 500 people? I could get that many people to turn out in Crawford.” He shook his head. “This is a five-spiral crash, boys.”
Well, he called the crash. We were running a toad against a prince and we ended up with a frog.
We must run these RINOs out at every turn. They hurt our cries for conservatism and they make us look like hypocrites. I used to like you, Dubya, but you broke my heart time and again. Prepare to have your kind run out of the party.

Racism, Death Threats, and Bli
- From: Enforcer

Description:

Posted: September 14, 2009 10:05 AMOn Racism, Death Threats and the Blindness of Those Who Will Not See
I appeared on CNN this weekend with Florida Republican Party Chairman Jim Greer to discuss the racial undertones of the tea party protests. You can watch the clip here.
As the images of the tea party march prove, there are, obviously, such racial undertones. However, there are many who refuse to acknowledge that simple truism, instead opting to pursue what I call "dog whistle politics." I know this not from just reading the swill on right wing websites, but from the loads of angry hate mail I received after appearing on CNN -- including one that was an explicit death threat.
Yes, last night I received a full-on death threat from a person promising to kill me if I dare discuss the racial undertones of the froth that Glenn Beck and other political terrorists are clearly encouraging. I went through the process of contacting the authorities, and the police responded very quickly, which was reassuring. The whole episode speaks to a post I did last week about the Nation of BLEEP-Holes -- and it is demoralizing.
We're living in a world where the behavior of right-wing lynch mobs clearly is far less about ideology, and far more about partisanship and racial hate. As I said on CNN, we know this because for all the talk of concern about the Constitution and the growth of government, the tea party protesters were nowhere to be found when George W. Bush trampled the Constitution and grew the government. That double standard exposes the truly dark forces driving this right-wing anger -- and those on the right who refuse to acknowledge it proves the old adage that there are none so blind as those who will not see.
Mind you, though, willful ignorance is not the exclusive purview of the right. Over the weekend, I received some very nasty email and Twitter messages from self-declared "progressives" insisting that the news of a UnitedHealth lobbyist holding a fundraiser with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is a conspiracy theory that I fabricated, not really connected to Pelosi or the Democratic Party, or some amalgamation of both. These people have no actual evidence to support their claims -- their attacks on me come from a sick form of sycophancy that makes them absolutely unable to do anything other than deify Democratic politicians. Again, there are none so blind as those who cannot see.
It goes without saying that there isn't a moral equivalence between conservatives who issue death threats against people for calling out racism* and Democratic Party cultists who attack people who tell some of the disappointing truths about the Democratic Party. However, the theme that ties them together is willful ignorance -- the foundational impulse of the new Nation of BLEEP-holes we now live in.
Frankly, it's been a scary and depressing few days for me personally, and I'm exhausted from trying to use verifiable facts to reason with far-right activists and Democratic sycophants who are willfully ignorant. But I guess my own negative emotions and fatigue are a predictable ramification of the work I'm engaged in -- and obviously, it's far worse for those with bigger platforms and/or those who are bearing the brunt of racism and the economic class war.
For my part, I won't back down. The fights we're fighting are too important to let a small minority of fringe BLEEP-holes on both sides deter us from seeking the truth -- and achieving progress.
* Note to conservatives: Issuing death threats against political opponents doesn't really debunk the idea that you are building a political lynch mob. Some might say it actually confirms the assertion. - Blog post
