Fox is Fake AGAIN !!
- From: Gomer

Fox News is full of it, shifting the blame to a "production error"...yeah right, keep it up Fox and sooner than later you will be reduced to junk bond status
Fox News again accused of airing misleading video
For the second time in just over a week, Fox News is coming under fire for misusing old news footage. The latest flap is leading some people to charge that the cable news network is intentionally misleading its audience, while Fox claims a "production error." Wednesday's incident occurred when Fox News host Gregg Jarrett mentioned that a Sarah Palin appearance and book signing in Grand Rapids, Michigan had a massive turnout. As footage rolled of a smiling and waving Palin amidst a throng of fans, Jarrett noted that the former Republican vice-presidential candidate is "continuing to draw huge crowds while she's promoting her brand-new book,'' adding that the images being shown were "some of the pictures just coming in to us.... The lines earlier had formed this morning." However, the video used in the segment was from a 2008 McCain/Palin campaign rally. In response to the minor uproar that arose after clips of Jarrett's report hit the Internet, Fox senior vice-president of news Michael Clemente issued an initial statement saying, "This was a production error in which the copy editor changed a script and didn't alert the control room to update the video." On Thursday afternoon, Fox News issued an on-air apology delivered by host Jane Skinner: Yesterday we told you about Sarah Palin kicking off her book tour and then we spoke to Sean Hannity about an interview that he did with former Governor Palin. When introducing the segment we showed you footage of people lining up in Michigan for a book signing that evening. In the tease before the segment, the tease to commercial, we told you how those people were already lining up to meet Palin. The problem is we didn't show you the video we were actually referencing. Instead we mistakenly aired what's called "file tape" of Sarah Palin. We didn't mean to mislead anybody in that tease. It was a mistake, and for that we apologize. The current mishap comes on the heels of a controversy sparked last week when footage from a conservative rally held over the summer was played on "Hannity" during a segment on a more recent rally. During the clip, host Sean Hannity marveled over the large turnout for a Washington, DC protest. The Daily Show later pointed out that there seemed to be some inconsistencies with the video shown on Hannity's show, namely that the atmospheric conditions seemed to vary from shot to shot. Hannity later apologized on the air for what he called "an inadvertent mistake." Barely a week into Palin’s blitz to promote “Going Rogue,” media coverage is becoming its own story.

A Letter To the President
- From: texastrublu
-
Description:
Mr. President,
I didn't vote for you. Maybe you will stop reading right there. But then again, maybe this once you should listen. The reason I didn't support your campaign is because I thought you were too inexperienced, too liberal and far too swayed by narrow political groups. But you won anyway. That's the way it is in America, the guy with the most votes wins. And being an American, I celebrate that idea. Although I didn't like your ideas, I honestly had hoped you meant what you said and that you would succeed. But as time wears on and your administration progresses, it has become obvious not only are you inexperienced, but that you are disdainful of many Americans who are suffering under your regime. I say "suffering" because what else do you call it when effectively over 17% of the population is unemployed or underemployed?
I'm a middle class, college educated 53 year old woman. I have never asked for a handout. My husband and I worked all of our lives to buy our own home, raise our own kids and simply live. We don't have time to start over. Yet the economy keeps my husband marginally employed through a commission sales position that frankly hasn't paid much because nobody is buying in this economy. I look with trepidation at the moves made by the school district where I teach. With shrinking property values the tax revenue that funds the district is shrinking. Jobs are going to go away. At 53, just where am I supposed to find a job, Mr. President? It would take three years to retrain, and by then I would be 57. Who is going to hire a 57 year old entry level employee? No rational company will hire someone at that age and train them knowing they would not be there for more than a few years.
And what of my kids? My kids worked full time all the way through college. What little they got in help was in the form of academic scholarships. There were not special programs to pave their way, no mentors to make sure they succeeded. They have some education loans, but not as much as most grads. But even after six months, my son is stuck in his college job as a fastfood manager because there are no jobs for him even as a college grad. (BTW, remember "fastfood"-many liberals categorized those jobs as ones Americans wouldn't do in justifying illegal immigration.) Now faced with dwindling job prospects at the age of 23, my son is moving back home. My daughter is moving into a spare bedroom at a friend's house. Even though they paid rent on their own through college, the economy is such that they cannot afford to pay rent and their college loans. They are deferring marriage, kids, jobs because of an economy that seems only to serve the government infrastructure. The rest of the market is flat. And with the pending additional burden of a health insurance penalty, even what few entry level jobs are out there will go away. What do you expect these kids to do...wait a few years? How many? Five, ten, fifteen? And in the meantime the favoritism of affirmative action will insure that even if my kids qualify for a job that they will have to wait behind others based on nothing more than race. While you and your handpicked cabinet of liberals and the Congress seem content to eviscerate the economy piece by piece, do you not understand that the relentless implementation of more corporate taxing ends up being a tax on all of us? Maybe when you were in law school, you missed this point, but corporations are NOT alive. When you tax a corporation, whether it is for transporation or manufacturing or energy use or profits, those costs are rolled into the cost of the product. And that means that we, the American consumers, pay that tax. It just passes through like grass through a goose. So for all your self-congratulatory talk about "taxing profits" and "penalizing corporations" you are really only penalizing US, the American people. We are the ones suffering with fewer jobs and higher prices.
In the month of October your administration racked up a deficit equal to the entire last year of President Bush's administration. Your party screamed at his spending. Yet looking back now, it seems as if this Congress and this administration is a runaway monster bent on wrecking the economy. I have to wonder why you are doing this. Do you want us all to abandon our homes to move into federal housing? Do you want to break down our individuality by imposing a rule of law that is so unconstitutional that even some of your own party would oppose it? For the entire summer you alternately ignored and dismissed the fear, the anger and the dismay of so many American over the penalties that will be imposed by your healthcare bill. When even New York writers, not known for the conservative views, startle at the penalties and costs of this bill, then is it not time to step back and stop and refine it to a bill that approaches the central problem of the hardcore uninsured without bankrupting the rest of us for a program that offers far less than we have right now.
Mr. President, I still am not a key supporter. There are too many mysteries in your past. You seem to dislike the people who live between the two coasts. You don't want to entertain the ideas that come from outside your own limited circle. And you seem driven to tax the middle class in order to buy votes. I'm sorry if you are offended by this letter, but quite honestly from what you have done so far, you seem more interested in shoring up your personal agenda than in helping the whole of the nation. And that means you are not a statesman, nor are you wise. It just means you are another politician who has been bought by a controlling majority of rich liberals. And that means the rest of us will lose again, even though we've already lost so much already. - Blog post

Common Sense has left the buil
- From: nonnie

Description:
Common Sense packed its bags and left the country and possibly the earth. Souces say they have looked everywhere and CS is no where to be found. It didnt leave a note or call anyone before leaving, just up and gone. It had once lived in our Nations capital but there isnt even a photo of it left.It has been reported that there are many trying to mock the once very popular Common Sense, but none have been able to even resemble CS. Before its disappearing act it had been beat up and mocked and even ridaculed.
It did leave its mark on the common folk who now are called teabggers or conservatives, and these are trying hard to carry on the family tradition only to be attacked by the same people that ran common sense out of town. If anyone has seen CS please dont call the law as they seem to have a very different view on how to proceed with life.
Reports say CS is hiding in the Conservative group and will spring out soon to reclaim the nation. With the harsh attacks on CS its hard to say when it will show itself again. Some of the tale tale signs of its departure are stories like Obama elected as president and Goverment to take over healthcare and Terrorist to be given Americans Constitutional rights, just to name a few. "We are looking everywhere an undisclosed source was qouted as saying, but we just cant find CS.
There were some moments there where we thought we saw it but it was a faults alert. If you see or hear it please treat it with kid gloves as it is very much needed!!!
Common Sense please come back we need you sooo much please we wont make it very long without you. We (some of us) love you and are waiting for your popular return.

DIVORCE AGREEMENT
- From: Zcat
-
Description:
American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists et al:
We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce.... I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course.
Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way. Here is a model separation agreement:
Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.
We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.
You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore andRosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them). We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies,Wal-Mart, and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot
Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood ..You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.
We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N... but we will no longer be paying the bill.
We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.
You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a
right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World. We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name, our flag, and "In God We Trust".
Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Threat From Within GOP
- From: Timeonhands
-
Description:
I repost an appeal from Tom Tancredo who warns conservatives that the RNC works to exclude grassroots conservatives from the process of selecting conservative candidiates. The RNC strategy is a formula for disaster, because conservative Americans, Democrat and Republican, are becoming engaged at the grassroots level, educating themselves and participating in activism like the TEA Parties.
Case in point: the Florida US Senate GOP race where the RNC 'anointed' RINO Charie Crist, but the PEOPLE, grassroots conservatives, are going to elect a true conservative, Marco Rubio. In a radio interview, Glenn Beck remarked to Rubio that the RNC, "the last time I looked" has all the money. Rubio thoughtfully replied, "Yes, but the last time I looked, we (conservatives) have all the votes."
I must tell you that we face a very serious threat to our goal of reversing open borders policies by electing men and women to office who will fight for our national sovereignty and for economic policies that will keep jobs here in America. This threat doesn't come from Barack Obama and the Democrats.
This time the threat is coming from within the Republican Party and its pro-open borders Establishment.
I am a Republican. Every office I ever sought, from the Colorado legislature to the U.S. House of Representatives to the presidency, I proudly sought as a Republican.
But I believe in a Republican Party that stands for the rule of law and stands up for American citizens . . . not in a party that sells our country out to the highest bidder, ships our jobs overseas and supports the same open border policies that the Democrats do!
I am writing to you today with a special sense of urgency, because the Republican establishment is trying to clear the field of grassroots conservative candidates and to anoint their own favorites, months ahead of the first Republican primary, as the inevitable Republican nominees for both state and federal offices.
Incredible as it seems, the establishment Republicans that run groups like the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) would rather get behind an almost certain general election loser like open-borders Republican Rob Portman than let a grassroots conservative like Tom Ganley win the GOP nomination.
And the situation in Ohio is being repeated in other states, including Florida and my own home state of Colorado.
My friend, we cannot let this moment of genuine conservative resurgence be co-opted by the same Republicans who drove our Party into the ditch during the last Republican administration and the last Republican-controlled Congress!
This is our moment to reclaim the Republican Party on behalf of conservative principles and create a powerful Party platform from which we can offer the American people clear alternatives to Barack Obama and the Democrats:
- a real choice between open-borders and secure-the-borders policies;
- a real choice between amnesty for illegals and no amnesty for illegals; and
- a real choice between trade deals that sell out American workers or trade deals that keep jobs for Americans in America!
Conservatives constantly reach out to me and Team America co-chair, Bay Buchanan, looking for help and advice (recently including two former GOP congressmen who are with us 100% on immigration reform and jobs issues). We are happy to travel and help them in any way we can.
But what populist GOP candidates really need right now is financial support.
Team America endorses candidates based on their commitment to core conservative issues like border security and immigration enforcement that protects American jobs, property, and communities. We give financial help to candidates based on their understanding of the threat Washington is to this nation and their willingness to fight to defend and preserve this great country, not on their adherence to the agenda of the corporate elites.
Your most generous gift today -- of $50, $100, or even $500 -- would be a huge help to us as we help patriotic conservatives reclaim the Republican Party and stand firm against the pro-amnesty, pro-open borders agenda of the party establishment.
You are a great supporter of Team America. Bay Buchanan and I know you are a special friend of our cause, and we know that you will help us if you possibly can.
We have it in our power now to finally unleash the GOP from the control of its establishment and offer voters a real choice on illegal immigration, one-sided trade deals and national sovereignty.
But we must first give conservative candidates our financial help. We cannot let good candidates be marginalized by the GOP establishment for lack of funds!
I deeply hope that you will stand with me, Bay Buchanan and Team America in support of the courageous conservatives who are taking up our cause and running for office. Thank you in advance for helping us at this critical time!
Sincerely,

Tom TancredoP.S. The GOP elite is literally moving heaven and earth to shut down primary challenges to their anointed candidates from conservative Republicans. This really is the time that Team America's support can help patriotic conservatives win big victories for our cause and our nation. I urge you to help us with your best gift as soon as you possibly can! Thank you, again, for your support and your friendship.

An independent from New York is serving as a reminder to the GOP - If you leave us, we will leave you! Hoffman, a lifelong Republican and conservative, is running against a Democrat and a Schmepublican (pretty much a Democrat - endorsed by ACORN, worked for Planned Parenthood). Hoffman is now leading by a number outside the margin of error.
Newt Gingrich endorsed the Schmepublican for a couple of reasons. He said it's best not to split the vote Ross Perot / George HW Bush style (my words). Meaning if two "republicans" split the vote the Democrat wins. Well.. SO? Sorry Newt, I'm tired of these Schmepublicans claiming to be Republicans but towing the line for the Democrats - Arlen Spector anyone? Then he said it's better to have a Republican even if she's a "moderate". No. No no no no. That's how we got McCain. How'd McCain work out for ya Newt?
So go Hoffman! Here's a little background: He's retired military, a small business owner, a husband, father, and grandfather. He doesn't sleep with interns. He doesn't take money from either sick, bloated party. He's not a career politician. This is what we need: Real people representing us. I'm so happy I could pop!

House Votes YES to Hate Crimes
- From: Timeonhands
-
Description:
Washington, DC - Eagle Forum, a leading conservative public policy advocacy organization founded by Phyllis Schlafly, commends the 133 Republican Members of Congress who opposed final passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (FY 2010, H.R. 2647, which passed by a vote of 281 to 146) Conference Report because of the liberal Majority's refusal to remove the highly controversial Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act (H.R. 1913) language from the bill. 13 Democrats joined in opposing final passage last week.
H.R. 1913 makes a hate crime — a crime in which the victim is intentionally selected based on his or her race, religion, ethnicity, or gender — a federal offense. This legislation also establishes homosexual and transgender persons as a protected class of victims by adding the words "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" to Title 18 of the U.S. criminal code. Back in April of this year, the House passed this legislation as a stand-alone bill, but in July, the Senate attached it as an amendment to the defense authorization.
"Not only does this hate crimes legislation have no place in a defense measure, especially during a time of war, but House liberals explicitly refused to extend special protected status to military personnel in committee and through a Republican motion on the floor while the stand-alone bill was being debated back in April," said Eagle Forum President Phyllis Schlafly.
"Forcing Members of Congress to choose between our troops and opposing the Left's radical social engineering policy is truly despicable," said Schlafly. "Of course, we can't forget about the Senate Democrats who made matters worse with their underhanded maneuver that attached the hate crimes text to the Defense Authorization in the first place."
"Eagle Forum commends those Members who voted NO on hate crimes all the way down to the very last vote," concluded Schlafly. "Many of these Congressmen have never opposed a defense bill, until last Thursday. It was a tough decision that took a lot of guts, and their principled stance won't go unrecognized."
Among the 131 Republicans who voted NO on final passage because of strong opposition to the hate crimes inclusion were longtime Eagle Forum allies Reps. Akin (MO), Bachmann (MN), Blunt (MO), Price (GA), King (IA), Franks (AZ), and McClintock (CA), along with a united GOP Leadership team of Reps. Cantor (VA), Boehner (OH), and Pence (IN).
Eagle Forum also applauds the 178 Members who voted last Tuesday for the Motion to Instruct, which would have removed the hate crimes language from the bill.

Question..."Do the Democrate canidates ACTUALLY believe they have the upper hand and that the world agrees with them and their agenda?
Do they ACTUALLY believe that they are right and the world will follow them into HELL and back? I stayed long enough to hear them all out. Then I went back through them and signed up for supporting all those I AGREED with. Funny it was all the Republican canidates. NOT that they were the only ones I WOULD. I gave them all a chance to speak their piece and tell me what they are behind or stand for.
LORD help us if we have to take it in the shorts again when that next election comes up for just the congressional seats. Then may GOD the FATHER help us if we have to put up with Obama for another four years when that vote comes up.
IF you are a conservative with a moral back bone in your body. If you stand for something that means "LIBERTY and FREEDOM" are something you could lose if you dont fight for it! Then talk to your kids....tell them why you think the way you do! Teach them that the constitution was built from the foundation of what was the King James version of the Bible. Why the 10 Commandments are the Bill of rights!
The foundation of this country was built with the strength of the Bible and the belief that all men are created equal. Blacks have roll models to look to. It just is NOT Obama!
I listened to a group of 8yo to 10yo sing today. They sang with the heart of what America is. They are our future and they need to know what FREEDOM IS!!!! What the cost of that FREEDOM is all about.
Here is the sad fact. 1 out of 20 kids will volunteer to defend FREEDOM from all enemies Foriegn and Domestic. Did I ever in my life time think that the word DOMESTIC would actually mean my own Goverment officials!!!!

Congressional leaders fight against posting bills online
By: Susan Ferrechio
Chief Congressional Correspondent
October 6, 2009
As Congress lurches closer to a decision on an enormous overhaul of the American health care system, pressure is mounting on legislative leaders to make the final bill available online for citizens to read before a vote.
Lawmakers were given just hours to examine the $789 billion stimulus plan, sweeping climate-change legislation and a $700 billion bailout package before final votes.
While most Americans normally ignore parliamentary detail, with health care looming, voters are suddenly paying attention. The Senate is expected to vote on a health bill in the weeks to come, representing months of work and stretching to hundreds of pages. And as of now, there is no assurance that members of the public, or even the senators themselves, will be given the chance to read the legislation before a vote.
"The American people are now suspicious of not only the lawmakers, but the process they hide behind to do their work," said Michael Franc, president of government relations for the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank.
At town hall meetings across the country this past summer, the main topic was health care, but there was a strong undercurrent of anger over the way Congress rushed through passage of the stimulus, global warming and bank bailout bills without seeming to understand the consequences. The stimulus bill, for example, was 1,100 pages long and made available to Congress and the public just 13 hours before lawmakers voted on it. The bill has failed to provide the promised help to the job market, and there was outrage when it was discovered that the legislation included an amendment allowing American International Group, a bailout recipient, to give out millions in employee bonuses.
"If someone had a chance to look at the bill, they would have found that out," said Lisa Rosenberg, who lobbies Congress on behalf of the Sunlight Foundation to bring more transparency to government.
The foundation has begun an effort to get Congress to post bills online, for all to see, 72 hours before lawmakers vote on them.
"It would give the public a chance to really digest and understand what is in the bill," Rosenberg said, "and communicate whether that is a good or a bad thing while there is still time to fix it."
What you don't know can hurt you:
» House energy and global warming bill, passed June 26, 2009. 1,200 pages. Available online 15 hours before vote.
» $789 billion stimulus bill, passed Feb. 14, 2009. 1,100 pages. Available online 13 hours before debate.
» $700 billion financial sector rescue package, passed Oct. 3, 2008. 169 pages. Available online 29 hours before vote.
» USA Patriot domestic surveillance bill, passed Oct. 23, 2001. Unavailable to the public before debate.
A similar effort is under way in Congress. Reps. Brian Baird, D-Wash., and Greg Walden, R-Ore., are circulating a petition among House lawmakers that would force a vote on the 72-hour rule.
Nearly every Republican has signed on, but the Democratic leadership is unwilling to cede control over when bills are brought to the floor for votes and are discouraging their rank and file from signing the petition. Senate Democrats voted down a similar measure last week for the health care bill.
The reluctance to implement a three-day rule is not unique to the Democrats.
The Republican majority rushed through the controversial Patriot Act in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks as well as a massive Medicare prescription drug bill in 2003 that added hundreds of billions of dollars to the deficit.
For the majority party, legislative timing plays a big role in whether a bill will pass because support can be fleeting.
"The leaders use it as a tool to get votes or to keep amendments off a bill," said one top Senate Democratic aide.
But Baird warned of public backlash.
"Democrats know politically it's difficult to defend not doing this," he said. "The public gets this. They say we entrust you with the profound responsibility of making decisions that affect our lives, and we expect you to exercise due diligence in carrying out that responsibility."

A Rhetorical Post
- From: Bugs
-
Description:
I have some questions for the outspoken conservatives in the group.
What if the Iraq War ends and America wins the war in Afghanistan?
What if the economy recovers and unemployment drops?
What if healthcare reform creates a healthier population, leads to fewer welfare recipients, and reduces the number of emergency room visits for non-emergent care?
What if our nation doesn’t become a socialistic Marxist country?
What if immigration reform does more good for America than harm?
What if your taxes don’t go up any higher than they were before the Bush tax cuts?
What if Michelle Obama never misspeaks again?
What if President Obama succeeds in making our country a better place to live?
Will anyone drop the hate and give President Obama the credit he deserves? I’m just wondering. Is there anything, in your eyes, President Obama can do right?
I truly am trying to understand your mindsets. When I post responses which discredit false information, most people ignore the response and bring up yet another unsubstantiated blunder of President Obama. A day later, or even the same day, someone will inevitably post the same unfounded lie which someone previously proved to be incorrect. What’s up with that?
Because of Bush policies, I was anti-Bush, but when he spoke of hunting down Osama bin Laden I supported him. When former president Bush tried pushing his version of immigration reform through Congress, I acknowledge his efforts.
President Obama has already sided with Republicans on at least one issue. Many Democrats are criticizing President Obama for being too conservative. Does that make President Obama less of a threat?
I’ve always been willing to give credit where credit is due. Are you? If not, then the truth means nothing to you. Am I right?
I’m just trying to understand all the hate. Maybe that’s part of my problem. I’ve never understood blind hatred towards someone or something. When someone points out an error in my train of thought, I’m appreciative. When I wrongfully accused Sarah Palin’s husband of being investigated, I admitted I made an error.
My experience has been most right wingers absolutely refuse to acknowledge when they’ve been wrong. I refuse to stand behind Democrats when I don’t agree with their agenda. Is refusing to admit when you’re wrong a part of being a Republican? Perhaps that’s the biggest weakness of the Democratic Party. We admit when we’re wrong and even change course at times. Republicans, to me, seem unwilling to change their views on an issue even if they are wrong; they “stay the course” no matter where that course may lead us.
If I’m wrong, tell me where I’m wrong. I’ve gotten to know some of you rather well. I know most of you are smart so what’s the deal with acting deaf to facts and truths? Let’s say I was riding the fence on deciding which party to support. Do you think I would support a party which thrives on false information or a party which deals in facts? Can you not see how conservative propaganda and rhetoric harms the Republican Party?
Since I don’t really expect answers to my questions, I guess this is a rhetorical post.
Have a great evening, Bugs

Senate Panel Kills Government Healthcare Plan
Tuesday, September 29, 2009 3:10 PM (mirror site: RockwallConservative.com)
Excerpt from News Story about the so-called Government Option
One option under consideration would reduce the number of individuals and families eligible for federal health coverage subsidies to those earning less than 400 percent of poverty, or about $43,000 for a single person and $88,000 for a family of four, officials said, commenting only on condition of anonymity. The subsidies are designed to make insurance more affordable, and account for a significant percentage of spending in the bill.
Unpack the Option
Think about the THREE numbers mentioned: 43,000, 88,000 and 4. What do they represent? These numbers represent the boundaries of Master Obama’s plantation. You think not?
An individual of $43,000 or less taxable income would receive subsidies. Another person who earns $43,001 will be heavily taxed by the IRS, whether he buys insurance or not. If this person, who may be in the age range 16 to 24 years, is single, a student or in some other pursuit common to young Americans, healthy, no history of family disease and eager to purchase a home or lease an apartment, perceives he is at low risk of needing medical insurance, may decide he does not need the coverage. He has higher priorities for his meager funds. By the way, unemployment of the age range of 16 to 24 years is presently at 52%.
If he fails to purchase insurance, the IRS will levy a huge fine and he may be sentenced to jail - think debtor’s prison. How does a young person, anyone for that matter, pay a $25,000 fine on $43,000 annual income? Furthermore, how does he earn anything while imprisoned? (read more about this)
Bottom Line – Government-mandated Insurance is unconstitutional. All the jibber-jabber in Washington about “healthcare overhaul” is a subterfuge for a government takeover of the entire medical industry: doctors, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, hospitals and emergency services – EVERYTHING. Everyone will be on welfare at some point in time, if the Democrats and their community organizer take over our healthcare system, just as it is in Cuba. He will control the salaries of everyone. His politburo will decide who lives or dies, how many children a family may have and limit family size by forced abortions (that’s the importance of the number 4 mentioned above).
Awaken Americans
God ordained and established this nation. He gave us wise and learned men to craft our Constitution. They fashioned the nation as a republic, not a democracy – A REPUBLIC, a government that follows the rule of law, not a democracy that is nothing more than mob rule, majority rule.
Democrat lawmakers ignore the rule of law, they ignore the Constitution. The Democrat party leader, Barak Hussein Obama, a man of dubious birthright, a man who conceals his academic record and prefers to work in the shadows with his appointed czars instead of allowing the Congress to vet cabinet officers, demands that lawmakers accept his radical agenda.
Meanwhile, what are his priorities? BHO is in Copenhagen lobbying to get the Olympics for Chicago, while our military commanders in Afghanistan nervously await a decision to send more troops. Obama spoke once with Gen. McChrystal one time in seventy days.
Take Action – Contact your congressional representatives and do it several times each week until we defeat the greatest threat to our freedoms we have ever known. Click on the links below to express your opinion about government-run healthcare.
My Opinions
1. I perceive forced abortions on families under $88,000 annual combined income. If they have more children, it may be impossible to afford even government insurance. By including elective abortion as a covered item, many families will choose abortion over a huge fine and possible jail time.
2. Obama cares nothing for ACORN. He will readily abandon the organization to further his agenda – nationalization of economy, establishing a utopian state where we are “citizens of the world”.
3. Although he has not publicly, as yet, stated his political and philosophical values, I firmly believe Obama is a communist. He surrounds himself with communists, avowed communists mentored him and one of the communists (Bill Ayers) may have actually written his book for him.
4. Obama conceals his academic record because the truth would alienate even his most ardent supporters. Harlem lawyer Percy Sutton claims that Islamic radical Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour asked him to write a letter to Harvard Law School to endorse Barak Obama. Sutton says al-Mansour, a Saudi citizen, was raising money for Obama. Hear his testimony on YouTube.com Video: Obama and Khalid Mansour
5. We are approaching the point of no return. If we Americans, in particular Christians, do not fast, repent and pray, according to 2 Chronicles 7:14, our nation is lost. America is the last nation on earth to defend Israel. As you pray for America, remember to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
6. Obamacare will corral all but the ruling oligarchy onto a ‘welfare plantation’ similar to Cuba’s healthcare system.
7. The struggle to preserve America continues until we restore reasonable, pro-American lawmakers to public office in the 2010 elections.

Conservative versus Liberal
- From: tiredofusernames
-
Description:
If a conservative does not like guns, they do not buy one.
If a liberal does not like guns, then no one should have one.If a conservative is a vegetarian, they do not eat meat.
If a liberal is, they want to ban all meat products for everyone. If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.
A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.If a black man or Hispanic is conservative, they see themselves as independently successful.
Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection..If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.If a conservative is a non-believer, he does not go to church.
A liberal wants any mention of God or religion silenced. If a conservative needs health care, he shops for it, or chooses a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that his neighbors pay for his health care.If a conservative does not like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down.Conservatives take personal responsibilities.
Liberals "if it feels good do it" and if it hurts someone else it is not their fault. It is a sickness or disorder, or some one else's fault. They play the blame game.Conservatives try to teach their kids rules and responsibilities.
Liberals give their kids no rules and responsibilities. They give their kids free expression. (Their kids have no respect for other people, and usually end up in prison.) - Blog post

Monday Obamacare Update
- From: TexasInfidel
-
Description:
After a shameless media campaign for government run healthcare it appears that ignorance was indeed bliss. The more people learn about this imaginary bill that Obama is pushing (and the more senator Baucus talks) the more they oppose it. According to the latest Rasmussen poll a mere 41% support Obama's healthcare plans while 56% now oppose them. You can't ignore the majority for much longer, Democrats.
Here's the conservative plan for healthcare reform:
1) tort reform - limit what lawyers can win for themselves *ahem* their clients by channelling dead babies (via John Edwards)
2) secure our borders - and keep 'anchor babies' from becoming American citizens
The Democrats oppose tort reform because trial lawyers give them nice, shiney pennies for their tireless efforts at keeping malpractice insurance higher than most people's yearly incomes. The Democrats oppose securing our borders because they know that if they grant amnesty (or a little-to-no consequence path to citizenship) they will vote Democrat forever. Forget the junk about lettuce being $5/head - if our economy keeps going where it is an nobody's working it will be that expensive anyway.

Another split
- From: Maya
-
Description:
Looks like another religion is dumping the conservatives.
I am glad they have stood firm to their beliefs. If the conservative Lutherans want to split, I say let them split. Soon enough those groups will be less and less and the more accepting groups will flourish knowing the real message of God. It's only a matter of time before the zealots will lose their footing and people will see all they do is hang onto scripture of the Old Testament to hate.
